5. Get enough exercise during the day will help you to sleep at night and may have you so tired that even the sounds of tinnitus won't keep you awake.

6. If needed, try a natural sleep remedy that will not get you addicted. If the natural route does not work too well for you discuss this with your doctor and get something prescribed that will help you.

7. Make changes in your diet that will help you to not only sleep better at night, but may also relieve the sounds of tinnitus. Take caffeine out of your diet as well as salt. Salt is known to elevate the blood pressure levels which obviously aggravates the tinnitus levels. A Stimulant such as caffeine increases the heart rate and keeps you awake for longer.

8. Many find that having a long relaxing bath before getting into bed helps a lot.

9. Hypnosis is working well for many tinnitus patients who are battling with tinnitus at night.. Professional will be able to guide you in the art of self hypnosis which does help enormously to get enough sleep.

10. You will often find that concentrating on the ambient white noises to be found in each house will be sufficient to lull you off to sleep. Most air conditioners and attic fans create a constant and noticeable sound that can be a big help to you.

These steps are designed to increase your general health levels, improve your sleep at night and reduce those tinnitus levels. Some people notice their symptoms decrease after just one night of better sleep.
