Best 4 Ways to Prevent Hair Loss

People may wait far too long before seeking help with their hair loss problems. By the time the decision is made a lot of treatments will only be able to produce a small difference and then just hold the problem. Working in a dynamic way to prevent hair loss from the start can help reduce the problems later on.

Hair loss is mostly caused by genetics with genes being sent down the line from parents and grand parents. The gene pattern inherited is changed into biochemical changes in the scalp. These changes make it less favorable for hair follicles to continue working normally. The net result is a gradual loss of hair as hair follicles die away and get so little that they can no longer create healthy hair.

The theory behind early hair loss treatments is that interventions are used to stop the chemical changes taking place in the scalp. This will then stop additional withering of hair follicles and also stimulate those ones that have not quite reached a lasting terminal decline. There are number of treatments that exploit this way of dealing with hair loss. The strategies used are to either stop scalp cells producing a chemical called DHT or to increase the blood supply to hair follicles. There are some methods that claim to do both. As a result it is sometimes a good reason to use more than one treatment at the same time.

DHT is the short name for a hormone called Dihydrotestosterone. It is produced when male hormones called androgens respond with receptors in the hair follicle cells. The hair follicles are very sensitive to DHT and therefore it causes them to wither away. Preventing DHT manufacture is therefore a good scheme in stopping hair follicles dying away and therefore maintaining hair production.

Increasing the blood circulation to the hair follicles makes sure that they have a good supply of oxygen and nutrients. This therefore stimulates their health. There is also the possibility that the increased blood flow carries away some of the DHT before it grows up to high levels in the hair follicles. These are some of the treatments that can be used in early intervention to prevent hair loss.

Laser Luce LDS 100 is a laser hair restoration technique used in hair clinics. It means sitting under a dome shaped hood for about 30 minutes each time. The laser light which is in the infra red wavelength range causes increased metabolic activity in scalp cells and improves the blood capillary network supplying the hair follicles with oxygen and nutrients. Trials have shown that patients having this treatment over a 12 month term both gain new hair and keep the degree of hair thickness and production after this time.

Propecia is DHT preventing treatment. You have to take tablets on a regular basis. Excellent results have been gained in both the keeping of hair count and thickness as well as the ability to regrow hair. After only 3 months the person can see that the treatment has begun to take effect.

Revivogen is a composite of natural herbs. Its main materials are substances which stop the making of DHT. It has to be rubbed into the scalp. Other natural substances contained in Revivogen promote hair regrowth. Good reports have been given on the capacity of this method to regrow hair.

The laser comb is a smaller type of the larger hood apparatus used in clinics. You can use this apparatus at home. There is an initial moderately high cost for the apparatus but you can get many years of use after this. This treatment works by stimulating the hair follicles to regrow hair and by making greater the scalp blood supply. A high proportion of patients have gained thicker hair after using it over a six month period.

All you have to do now is to select the method you want to use. You can then retain as much of your hair as possible and also recoup some of the lost hair. Starting your treatment early will reduce the chance of having to deal with larger balding areas later on.
