Celebrate The Day For Fathers Are Special!

It might seem a cliché, but you cannot simply do without them! And like most clichés which are universal truth, the fact that your father plays an important role in your life from childhood cannot be denied. Most of the times we forget to acknowledge their presence, though they have always been an integral par of one’s life and happiness. In our attempts to celebrate motherhood (justifiably so) we often tend to forget the father figure who is always behind us as the backbone of the family and all the mothers. The father not only works hard and supports the family financially, but he is also the constant reassuring presence during a crisis or an emergency. So on this Father’s Day (though a day is never enough to thanks him) let us give them the love and show them that we care, even if we can never match their unmatched love and warmth.

The commitments of father’s to their families are huge. Whatever might be the problem, he is expected to be strong and stable. They work every single day of their life, professional and at home to give a proper upbringing to their children – to us. Perhaps they have less time today to spend with their children, not because they are any less attached with their offspring, but because they simply have so less time left after working endlessly throughout the day. Whenever you need the answers to some of the life’s most difficult answers, they are there ready with the answer, or at least with the assurance that an answer is not very far away.

Being the head of the family, especially in today’s nuclei families, they have to take all the unpleasant decisions that we may not appreciate during our childhood or adolescence. But then when we look back at their harsh decisions taken so long ago, we feel nothing but gratitude for being there for us and making all the tough decisions by himself without troubling us. They walk us when we take our first baby steps; they are there for us when we reach a stage when we do not require their support to stand up tall. Fathers introduce us to the outside world of beauty and adventure. Infact the first ball or soccer game or the first long drive and the camping and hunting trips are all organized by our fathers. They reach us to balance ourselves when we stumble and fall by our first attempts at riding the cycle.

Though they may not be able to express their feeling s as smoothly as out mothers do, they feel pain when we are ill or hurt. When you first join school as a toddler, they are there carrying your bag for you. When you graduate and join your first job, they glow with your joy. They are immensely heart-broken when their daughters leave them for their husband’s home. It is one of the most difficult moments in a father’s life. So this Father’s Day the gift of God- your father with wonderful poems, thank you cards and special gifts and make their day truly memorable for life!
