Teenage pregnancy, a term used to refer to pregnancy in case of teenagers, is also called adolescent pregnancy. Various statistical studies reveal the fact that around 34 percent of girls become pregnant in their teens. In some cultures around the world, it is perfectly alright for a teenager to get married and bear children. In many countries, however, teenage pregnancy is a social issue that causes great concern.

Adolescence can be a challenging time for young people and their families. A teenager goes through rapid physical and emotional changes. Teenagers go through awkward times and get caught in between wanting freedom and having the security of the family.

Pregnant teenagers face many of the same obstetrics issues as women in their 20s and 30s. However, there are additional medical concerns for younger mothers, particularly those under 15 and those living in developing countries. For mothers between 15 and 19, age in itself is not a risk factor, but additional risks may be associated with sociol factors.

Healthy diet, enough time of sleep, regular exercise, and not worrying too much can prevent hair loss, whereas problems such as lupus, thyroid condition, and diabetes can cause hair loss. Eating habits vary from healthy eating habits on one end of the scale, to serious eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia on the other end.

The best thing to do in regards to teenage pregnancy diet plans is to talk to a nutritionist about the specific diet plan that would be right. This can help to ensure that you get the exact nutrition that is right for the situation. When in doubt, it is always best to play it safe. Nutritionists specialize in making sure that certain people get the right types of food for their conditions.

A teenage mother has to take care of her own dietary requirements. In addition to that, she needs to eat well for the baby too. Teenage is a crucial period for any child and a pregnancy at this stage might actually cause lot of problems, not only for the mother but for the child as well.

The prevalence of teenage pregnancy is the highest in the U.S and most of such pregnancies end up in premature deliveries or abortions. Most of them are unintended. No strenuous exercises should be done during this period, but a brisk walk for 15-20 minutes or a game of basketball would be fine. The main cause of teenage pregnancy is the lack of knowledge and awareness. Every parent should discuss the pros and cons of having teenage pregnancies.

Children of teenage mothers have significantly higher odds of placement in certain special education classes and significantly higher occurrence of milder education problems, but when maternal education, marital status, poverty level, and race are controlled, the detrimental effects disappear and even some protective effects are observed.

Exercising during pregnancy is one of the best things you can do for yourself and for your unborn baby. Your baby will reap some of the benefits, which is reason enough to exercise. Always be safe when you exercise, and don't hesitate to ask a doctor for advice if you have any questions at all.
