So if you would like to copy DVD movie to PSP, you must convert DVD to PSP movie first.

Now first issue you wish to try to to is settle on what DVD you wish to rip. This can be anything from a a pair of hour movie to an episode of your favorite TV show. Now clearly, relying on the length of your video, the scale of the file will be larger. So be prepared to create space for these files on your computer.

Currently you need to place your DVD into the DVD drive of your computer. Now begin up SmartRipper. It will check the drive to work out if it will scan the files or not. If all works you'll get a brand new window with a heap of stuff on it. Currently initial issue you would like to do is click on the Settings button. Underneath File - Splitting, choose max-filesize and below max-filesize type 9999. Hit Ok to save the settings. Now on this screen, you will see some words like Program Chain, Angle 1, etc. Currently one in all the angles in the Program Chain will be highlighted. This can also have a timestamp in [] next to it. This can be your main movie.

Now possibly, you simply wish one language and you speak that language therefore no subtitles are needed. So click the Stream Processing tab and click on Enable Stream Processing. Currently you will see stuff like Audio English, Subtitles Espanol, etc. Choose the Audio you would like and uncheck all the others. Additionally uncheck all the subtitle streams. Now when this is done, click on the Folder at the underside of the window and pick a file name for the DVD files and select a folder to avoid wasting them in. Build this file name something relevant, like Family Guy - 01 - Death Has A Shadow. You may would like this for the PSP to understand what the video is. When all of this can be configured click the Start button. Currently the ripping method could take anywhere from a jiffy to a few hours. It all depends on how briskly your pc is. After it's all done, close the program.

Almost there

Now it's time to open up PSP Video 9. 1st thing you would like to try to to is hook up your PSP to your laptop via a USB Cable. After you are doing this click on Setup on PSP Video nine and on PSP Drive, click Auto Find. You can also specify a totally different video output directory, however it's not necesary. You'll be able to conjointly modification the Default Profile to your liking. I like 368x208, 29.97fps, 768kbps Stereo, 128kbps myself, but it's up to you. The resolution (e.g. 320x240) is how your video will look. 320x240 is customary, and 368x207 is widescreen (native PSP resolution). Take your choose between the two. Currently you need to decide on the bitrate (e.g. 768kbps). The upper this can be, the higher the standard, however the larger the file size. So i would recommend 768kbps for somebody with a 512MB stick, and 1500kbps for someone with a 1GB stick. You may wish to depart the framerate at 29.97fps and also the audio bitrate at 128kbps for the best quality.

Now that you have picked your video settings, click Convert at the top of the window and click Convert New Video. Currently you only need to pick the VOB file that you ripped with SmartRipper. Once you select the video file, the encoding can start automatically with your defualt settings. When it's done, click on Copy and you may come to a PC and PSP file browser window. Now click the video file you simply created (ought to appear as if M4V10001.MP4) and click on Copy Video to PSP. When you do this you'll be able to watch your new DVD video on your PSP via your Memory Stick!
