Decorative bathroom wall tiles are a great way to spruce up the interiors of a bathroom. The best way to go about doing this is to start with the wall that is the biggest. Bathroom wall tiles that are made up of porcelain, ceramic and limestone can be used. The rich may prefer to use marble tiles for obvious reasons. Ceramic remains as the most frequently and commonly used material. It is durable and comparatively cheap. It is entirely the choice of the individual to create a unique look. The choice of available patterns are so wide that it is quite easy to make it look unique but the challenge is to make it look great at the same time. Concentrating the pattern in just a particular area of the bathroom such as the wash basin or the shower tends to give the bathroom a uncluttered feel.

Bathroom design:

As previously listed the combination of tile patterns is limitless. This gives the freedom to even go in for a theme like say a fairy land theme for the kids bathroom can feature fairy pictures on the tiles and other mythical characters. Since it involves only printing on tiles, the manufacturer can be contacted for a particular kind of design or print if need be. Bathroom wall tiles that are hand painted are available too. But this involves extra expense but does deliver a one of a kind feel to it. The advancement of technology has brought in glass tiles. These are beautiful and needless to say, expensive. But with the right mind can be made to look exquisite.

Bathroom finish:

Tile finish does not require an in depth study. Just good taste. Some tiles have shine and some offer a rustic or a matte finish. Choosing the tiles also requires a look at the things in the bathroom. Like shelves and the kind of glass on the windows. If the shelves are going to be painted care should be taken to see that the colour scheme of the bathroom doesn’t interfere with the tiles thereby making it an eye-sore. It should be remembered that like any other room, dark colours tend to shrink the size of the bathroom. But then again it all boils down to personal taste. Light colours tend to reflect natural light better and that in turn gives a airy, more spacious feel. Pastel colours give a very pleasant look and a variety of these can be combined for a unique result.

A little bit of prior planning is essential to make decorative bathroom wall tiles work. The internet is a great source to learn from because of the availability of material. From pictures to materials used to the availability of different kinds of materials – can be found out. Planning out the design on paper helps to gain insight about how the project will turn out in the end. Planning out is only the beginning and care should be taken to ensure good work-force as it requires skilled labour to carry out the task in a way that satisfies the individual.
