Diesel Power Up for the Isuzu N-Series SiTEC 150 engine.
The SiTEC 150 engine is a 4 cylinder 16 valve direct injection diesel used in a range of popular truck models from Isuzu including the NPR 200, 250, 300 and 400. This 5.2 Litre engine provides 110kW of power at 2,600 rpm and 404 Nm of torque at 1,500 – 2,600 rpm. Using the Denso common rail fuel injection system it is perfect for fitting a DPChip plug in power module.
The DPChip power module is only the size of a small mobile phone and once fitted instantly gives the SiTEC engine improved power and torque. The standard 110 kW rises to 138 kW with the DPChip and torque increases from 404 Nm to 488 Nm.
The DPChip works by changing fuel loads and fuel timing to optimise the fuel system, the result of this is then increased power and torque. No dismantling or modifying of the ECU is required, in fact the DPChip does not interfere with the existing ECU at all and leaves all engine operational safety systems and error detection systems intact. The DPChip works with the existing ECU signals and does not over-ride but simply enhances what is already there to optimise performance. The DPChip cannot harm the engine and for those worried about new vehicle warranty it can be simply unplugged to return the vehicle to standard.
One truck manufacturer (who wishes to remain nameless) recently tested the DPChip and was very impressed with the performance. Over a short course they found up to 15 gear changes less were needed and the course was completed 5 minutes quicker with the DPChip fitted. With less gear changing needed the savings alone on the synchro, over the life of the vehicle, were impressive enough.
On road you will find the DPChip gives around a gear to a gear and a half better performance. Throttle response is improved and the power and torque increase is right throughout the rev range. These improvements are particularly noticeable and appreciated when fully loaded.
An added benefit of all this extra performance can also be improved fuel economy. Depending on driving style up to 10% better fuel economy can be achieved with most drivers finding their vehicle now performs approximately a litre or more per hundred better.
DPChip has been developed and tested in Australia by one of Australia’s leading diesel service centres with over 50 years in the diesel industry. Each DPChip is set up for our unique Australian environmental conditions and notoriously poor Australian diesel quality. Performance increases are set will within safe tolerances for these very reasons and to ensure that engine longevity is compromised. Safe power and torque increases with improved fuel economy are made possible through real time alterations to the engine managements own signals.
With a 5 year warranty on the device and a 30 day money back guarantee to appease the cynics I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised when you fit a DPChip to your truck. To find out more contact DPChip on 02 48771022 or visit their website at www.dpchip.com
