been off your golf game for a while? Are you a golfing enthusiast? This is for you. For your short game, let's talk about free golf tips. why it is very important that you need to practice the short game? If you know your golf then you will know that almost 70 percent of the shots in any given round of golf are usually taken 75 yards from the pin or maybe even closer. Hence, the short game becomes the most significant factor in your golfing score.
Nutshell with the short game rules:
" Choose the option of putting whenever possible, especially if you think that the ball will roll instead of bouncing
" When you cannot putt go for the chip and run option
" Choose pitching only when you are in the position of having no other option

Putting
Putt is a stroke on the green that is aimed at sending the ball into or near the hole. The best was to explain about putting is to say that it requires bringing your personal and natural instincts play because putting is all about feel and touch. Hitting a full short is similar to putting, that said. A consistent square impact must be produced by your aim. Do what you have to, to put the ball in the hole- How you do it is up to you.

Chip and Run
Make the chip and run shot the mainstay of your short game; it is the most reliable shot on the green if you cannot putt.

Even with the most lofted wedge you have you can play a chip and run shot. However, if you get the ball on the ground and start it rolling as fast as possible you will greatly increase your chance of controlling the ball's behavior and also be able to predict more or less its course. Stay away from pitching the ball up the in the air as it is a very poor shot. Select your club wisely as this will determine the amount of roll in the ball when you play your chip shot, because the chip shot is only a small swing shot.

Go for the chip shot when the ball is lying close to the hole or on a hard green\, or if you have to go downhill green, or when playing against the wind and you shouldn't do too badly- This is a word of advice.

Pitching
The pitching shot is best played anywhere from 1 to 20 yards off the green. Just make sure you choose the shot bearing in mind that the aim is to get the ball as close to the hole as possible, different situations dictate the kind of pitch shot you have to make. Now in the normal course of things your pitch shot has to fly over some kind of obstacle. So, I decided to give you a head's up on this as well, the kind of club you use plays a major role in determining the success of your shot. The clubs that can be used for the pitch shots are:

" pitching wedge
" sand wedge
" gap wedge
" lob wedge
" 9-iron
Use the tips provided and you shouldn't do too badly in your short game. However, remember that practice, practice and more practice is the only way to excel!
