Hello everyone, Rich Bondie here at Best Cash Concepts. Well it looks like the white house is attempting to make a power grab for control over the Federal Reserve. Tim Geithner, the Secretary of the treasury was up on capital hill asking for veto power over the decisions made by the fed governors concerning monetary policy. The proposed legislation to supervise America's financial service industry includes granting the Secretary of the Treasury a veto over Section 13(3) emergency action by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. If this becomes law, it will be a sad day for the independence of America's central bank.

Years and years of monetary history throughout the world have disclosed what happens when political influence on a central bank intensifies. Classic examples are what happened when the Weimar government in Germany used the printing press to buy their way out of the treaty of Versailles. The Zimbabwe government cranked up their printing press to deal with budget shortfalls which created massive inflation. The great depression in the United States and the 20 year deflationary recession that shows that political influence can also have an extreme opposite effect.

Is it possible that one day we could experience the same type of inflation that was experienced in Latin America back in the early 90's? It was so bad that it wasn't necessary to put price tags on anything since prices rose every 2 to 3 hours by as much as 30% at a crack. As soon as workers were paid they would rush out to spend their money before it was worthless. I'm not saying that will happen in the US but the possibility certainly exist since we are going down the exact same road that bankrupted those countries.

On a different note; The GDP report for the last quarter came in at 3.5% but when you strip away the cash for clunkers automobile sales it only rose by 1.84%. What new stimulus trick is the government going to come up with to produce the next phony inflated GDP number?

It was also reported that there are 20 million empty homes sitting around the country waiting for buyers. The housing crisis will not end until this excess inventory number is brought down. With the US dollar continuing its slide and making home prices less expensive to foreign investor's maybe they will buy up some of these homes? Heaven knows that with US citizens continuing to be added to the unemployment rolls every month they won't be picking up the slack anytime soon.

People, if you haven't started building your defense fund with gold and silver yet now is the time to do so! Soon the price of silver will be over $30 and heading north. The next stop for gold we believe will be $1300 per oz. Best Cash Concepts is offering a free silver coin and special report to anyone who registers with us with no obligation to buy.
