One of the hardest skin conditions to cure is acne. Not only is it triggered by external factors, it also has a lot to do with one's skin type and skin condition. However, thanks to tea tree oil a lot of former acne patients have had clear skin with just a few weeks of using the extract. Aside from skin blemishes, this oil can cure and treat a lot of other skin conditions and skin problems without you having to worry about being burned by chemicals. If you're looking for an all-natural alternative, then this plant extract is something that should interest you.

This is a kind of essence oil that comes from the plant Melaleuca alternifolia which is a native plant in Australia. The reason why this plant is called \u201ctea tree\u201d is that its leaves were sometimes used as tea though it really is not. Today, in fact, it is hardly known as an alternative to real tealeaves. Tea tree oil could also be added in items like soap, lotion, ointments, and shampoos. While some may expect a greenish hue to this plant extract, it actually has a golden hue to it. The clear with a touch of gold oil is one of the most versatile essences one can use.

Among the many uses of this oil, its most popular function is as an antiseptic as its elements can effectively kill germs and bacteria. It has been used in Australia as such before it was released into the mainstream market. The Aborigines used to gather tea tree leaves, crush them and squeeze the extract on their wounds or skin lesions.

A lot of recent scientific studies tried to measure the antiseptic value of tea tree oil and they found that it not only killed germs and bacteria, it could also treat skin ailments and some diseases. This extract has the compound terpinen-4-OL, which gives the oil the ability to kill bacteria. Aside from its antiseptic use, this oil could also function as an anti fungal agent as it is effective in killing fungus found on one's skin. With this, the essence could also be an effective cure or treatment for fungal conditions like athlete's foot or toenail fungus. This extract, when used as a shampoo, is an effective anti-dandruff agent.

Aside from these things, tea tree oil also has the capability to manage acne. Studies have shown that the application of the oil on moderate acne has considerably lessened the occurrence of the skin condition. The effect was similar to how one's skin would react when treated with benzoyl peroxide.

There are more health benefits and uses for this wonderful oil than what is listed here. The bottom line is that this is something you probably want to have on your dresser on days when you just need a little of nature healing you and your illnesses. And don't stop with the oil! If you're after clean and clear skin, tea tree oil and maybe the other toiletries made with it should line up your bathroom sink.
