Getting Through the Plaguelands to Reach Level Sixty

By: Thomas M. Lancaster Click author's name for more of his/her articles

The Plaguelands are a necessary stop for any player who hits the mid to high 50s and is trying to make their way to Level sixty and Outland. Many players, even with a good World of Warcraft leveling guide in front of them will attempt to cheat a bit and jump straight to Outland at level 58, but if you do so, you will just spend an additional two hundred thousand XP grinding on mobs in Outland and should be morosely underpowered for the 1st few levels there. It isn't worth and so you have to visit the Plaguelands.
However, as you might or might not have experienced in your own leveling, the Western and Eastern Plaguelands are fraught with risks that keep you from getting around as simply as you might like. A high proportion of elite mobs ramble the area, usually at Level 61-63 and guarding areas that you have to go to along with a few dozen other mobs that, if they caught your smell, could cause you enormous issues.
The Best Route
Any good World of Warcraft leveling guide is going to send you to the Plaguelands for the first time around Level fifty six to start the quests from your respective camp outside. The alliance camp is essentially in the Western Plaguelands while the Horde Camp is on the border with Trisfal Glades. After getting your Argent Dawn commission and chatting to your commander, you may spend a while raiding camps and taking out cauldrons - about 4 of them for decent XP rewards each time out. This raid and strike methodology is used for a short while before a slew of new quests that involve high level mobs and hunting are given.

These quests, for the most part are counseled for pairs of players or bigger groups because of their hardness level. There are multiple examples including the main city full of undead in the Western plaguelands and the assorted high level mobs in the Eastern half. The key here is to have a World of Warcraft leveling guide that you can both follow and know when to ignore. Your goal is eventually to reach Level 60, not to finish every quest listed in the World of Warcraft leveling guide for this section. As will be the situation when you reach the end of Outland, you can skip any quests that may seem excessively hard and nonessential and just jump right ahead to the next part if you don't think you need the XP from these quests.

Ultimately, when you reach the end parts of the quests in this section, you will have multiple options to hand there are usually a number of quests involving Carlin Redpath and the rest of the NPCs in his camp that may be ignored, especially if they are very difficult. Then, when you reach Level 60, ignore anything else your World of Warcraft leveling guide tells you and head for Outland. It is time to start all new sectors and quests.
