How Trivia games Can assist With Team Building

How the Trivia Game Works
There are no real guidelines to the proverbial trivia game. Some formats are handled exceedingly simplistically. Think of a quiz show type, with answers instead of questions and with contestants having to buzz in before they are allowed to speak. Other formats might be more regulated, resembling the popular board game Trivial Pursuit. Some trivia fun and games could introduce new guidelines altogether, based on the team manager's personal (and hopefully strategic) preferences. A note of caution: be careful not to produce any trivia game too complex. When you lose the simplicity of a game, you commence to lose the audience.

What will be the theme of your trivia game? You may be selecting the event as a team building or ice breaker event, not necessarily related to work. In this case you could concentrate on such popular general topics as entertainment, sports, history or geography. More career minded players may appreciate special categories however, like science, mathematics, computer science or vocabulary and literature. One exceedingly impressive feat would be to work in trivia questions directly related to your industry, such as, a football team would be energised to answer sports trivia question, whereas a team of entrepreneurs would appreciate trivia questions related to their business and business theory and history.

Some Notes On Planning Trivia Games
One essential aspect to remember about trivia fun and games is the logistical side of the event. Remember to bring loads of trivia questions and answers and to decide upon a simple set of guidelines. Instructions must be read to the team members with a pause to create sure everyone understands how the game operated. If you plan to include prizes then make sure to bring them to the event and store them in a convenient place. Anticipate problems that might come up throughout game play. For example if you plan on using a buzzer system, how will you determine who responds first? Will you select from several hands or is there another way to determine speed?

Try rotating the game so that everyone gets to play, along with more shy players. A rotational system might work best, since it allows players to compete against each other at a more relaxed pace, rather than several people battling it out at once.

The most essential point to note is that all fun and games must be related to team building. Even if the subject matter isn't work related, there must be a positive aspect of team building being demonstrated and you as the educator must be explaining the justification for this gaming event. Trivia fun and games are a fun and productive way to lighten up the office.
