I found that more of my days turn into happy or great ones when I follow some simple and easy to understand steps. Of course there are a lot of things involved in our days but these steps can make it all come together in a more positive way.
Step #1. When you wake up in the morning before you do anything go through a list of things that your grateful for. Make sure you don't just say the words but you feel the happiness from the things you say.
For example when I wake up in the morning I will say, “I am grateful for my husband and all the wonderful things he does for me and this family. I am grateful for my kids and the fact that their smiles always bring one to my face. I am grateful for my job and my boss because when I am working I feel like I am helping others.”
Step#2. If something negative happens throughout the day don't let it get you down, upset you or cause you to feel anything negative. Instead use a oh well approach, smile fix or clean up whatever it was that happened and move on in your day like nothing went wrong.
For example the other day I was at a gas station getting coffee and when I walked toward the coffee department I accidentally knocked over a bag of sun flower seeds, I leaned over to put them back and smiled at the cashier who saw me do it. Then as I filled my cup with coffee I accidentally got some of the hot liquid on my hand and dropped the cup causing all of it's contents to spill on the floor. After saying something to the effect of shoot, I quickly turned my frown upside down, cleaned up the mess with a smile, got another cup of coffee being extra careful not to spill it, told the cashier to have a great day and went on to work. I ended up having a great day with no more accidents.
Step#3. If you find yourself in spot during the day that is either difficult or challenging try to meditate good and happy thoughts before you face whatever it is.
For example I am pregnant with twins at the moment and a few months ago after getting some lab work done I found out through the lab that my health coverage was expired. A total shock to me and at a very bad time in my life for that to happen I started to get nervous. However instead of getting upset or worried I simply took in a deep breath, smiled and finished what I was doing before starting to drive over to my health coverage office. The whole way over I stated to myself over and over again that everything was going to be okay, it would run smoothly and by the days end all would be well. Everything went great, everyone in the office was happy and easy to talk to and buy the days end all was well.
Step#4. Try to stay away from negative places and people, their energy can bring you down if your not careful.
For example I used to work in a salon making reservations, the owner was there everyday doing hair for our clients. She was in a hard place in her life at that time and had been for a long time, to the point that she actually thrived on it. She would talk about this negative subject to not only me but to every single client that sat in her chair every day. It got to the point that the mere thought of going to work was offal because I knew that I would have to sit and listen to that negative subject again. I finally had to quit because it was literally draining me and making my life energy negative as well. The weight taken off of me was huge and my energy went back to positive.
Step#5. When you go to sleep at night repeat step 1 and if you pray make sure that you pray right, in other words don't use prayer in a negative way use it as in a positive way.
For example when I go to bed after I repeat step 1 I say a small prayer, “Creator, thank you for my life, thank you that I am wealthy, thank you that I have a healthy family and thank you that things always go right for me in my life.”
Stick to these simple steps and watch your life get brighter and happier day by day.
