I Probably Wasn’t Paying Attention – but exactly when did they cancel democracy? Further Notes on the Deliberate Recession

The situation alluded to in this article affects every aspect of your life: your job, your prospects, your taxes, your pay, your debts, your security, your solvency, your wealth, health and happiness. It is a disease that has infected every area of life: politics, economics, sport, culture, education, industry, in fact just about everything. And most certainly upon your personal freedoms.

Okay so apparently it’s quite alright if you’ve lost your job, your business is going bust or you can’t pay the grocery bill.

You see, according to Gordon Brown it’s all part of the plan. What you’re suffering is just the birth pangs of a new global order. Well that’s a relief! I bet you thought for a minute that being broke, in debt, over-taxed and generally worried half to death was a Bad Thing didn’t you?

Call me churlish if you will, or ungrateful for the efforts of hidden committees to carry out an agendum that….well, that has an impressive name, but the fact that this vague “global order” has not been defined and the majority of the human race have not been let in on the secret even while they are paying for it with their lives and livelihoods suggests that they’re not gonna like it when it finally materializes – if it ever does – like a coherent thought out of the bewildered concussion of our kicked-in-the-head civilization.

I mean, if it were truly a Good Thing for the proles like you and me, why not a fanfare? Why not a few details, like WHAT is being done, HOW it’s being done and WHY creating a recession and misery for millions was necessary for a start.

Of course it might just be Mr Bown and his cohorts are trying to look smart, mysteriously wise as the economy spirals out of their control, the “I did that on purpose” syndrome. After all, George Bush senior made similar allusions when justifying the start of the first Gulf War. He hinted then at a New Global Order just around the corner and we’ve had nothing but global disorder ever since: endless war, lies, inflation, Smirking Chimps in cowboy hats and income tax and finally Recession. Brilliant! I’m glad it’s all under control!

But I don’t think so. Mr Brown has hinted at something more sinister. We can conclude that in his perception at least someone somewhere has a plan. Someone somewhere is doing something or other to bring about a specific objective but they’re not sharing with us the secret of what it is.

Look at what Mr Brown’s remark implies: the recession isn’t an accident. It is engineered, the inevitable consequence of some unspecified tinkering with the global economy. The wheels are not just falling off of their own accord. They are falling off because someone has loosened the nuts. And it’s perfectly alright if you and I are hurt in the process.

Well, either Mr Brown has lost his grip on reality as much as he has on the economy or he knows something we don’t. He is in on some scheme, some agendum he has not bothered to share with the rest of us, a scheme so important in some undefined way that economic havoc is the price you and I must pay for it.

I can’t find it in the Labour Party manifesto or any political utterance: “our plan is to create a recession so that we can construct a new global order the specific details of which are……”

Well if I pay for something I’d like to know what I’m paying for. If I have to make sacrifices and my kids have to make sacrifices I’d like to be consulted. Wouldn’t you?

I think Mr Brown has some explaining to do. And maybe he could introduce us to his co-conspirators – er, I mean co-global-planners.

It’s time we all woke up, before it’s too late, to what Mr Brown has let slip. Recessions are not natural disasters that just sort of happen. Money does not drain out of the economy of its own accord.

Recessions are created. Deliberately.
