Is It A Good Idea To Have A Breast Reduction After Breast Augmentation?

Breast augmentation is the quick solution to a sexier you! Want to feel better about yourself? Want an instant, permanent boost in your self confidence? If so, you should really consider a breast augmentation surgery. Breast augmentation surgery has become the number one performed plastic surgery in the world! Despite that fact, some women are not happy with their results.

A very small percentage of women who undergo breast augmentation surgery eventually feel they made a bad decision about increasing their breast size. They start feeling like larger breasts may negatively impact their lives. Why? It could be for a variety of reasons. We'll discuss them.

Increasing your breast size, thanks to modern technology, can be completed with relatively low risk to your health and well being. Once you have your breasts enlarged, your life will change both physically and emotionally.

Physically speaking, your new chest equates to more weight swinging from your chest, and that can affect whether or not you can participate in physical activities. If you didn't take this into consideration, the added weight to your chest can be more of a burden than you realize, especially if you were very active in sports and or other physical activities.

From an emotional perspective, larger breasts will affect the way other people interact with you. Your new breasts will draw attention from strangers. You will be treated differently than you were whenever you interact with new people. Although most people cannot help it, they will automatically stereotype a woman with excessively large breasts (especially if the implants are obvious).

Reducing your new implants to a smaller size is not as easy as acquiring them through a typical breast augmentation procedure; it's not as simple as pulling out the old implants and installing new ones. You should take serious consideration before committing to breast reduction after a breast augmentation procedure.

The best recommendation for a woman who seems to be unhappy with her new breast implants is to simply wait. Give it more time. If you are truly unhappy after eight or nine months, then you should consult with a breast augmentation surgeon who specializes in revision surgery. Most breast augmentation surgeons will recommend you wait at least a year before considering reduction. Why? Because it could take up to twelve months before your body fully heals from the surgery, and a fully healed chest is typically smaller than a chest that is still recovering from surgery.

If you want to learn more about breast augmentation or breast reduction, you can find a lot of information online. Simply visit your favorite search engine and perform a search. No doubt there will be several hundred thousand pages of information. While the internet is a great resource, it's not necessarily the best. Where can a woman get the latest information when it comes to breast augmentation or breast reduction? There is only one correct answer to that question: a licensed, practicing plastic surgeon who specializes in those procedures.

If you want accurate, trustworthy answers to your breast enhancement questions, give your local plastic surgeon a call and schedule your initial consultation. Don't worry too much about cost because most surgeons will provide a free, initial consultation for new clients. Give a surgeon a call today! You'll be glad you did!
