Louis Vuitton and Mini Lin Collections

Since George Vuitton, son of Louis created it himself in 1896, the LV monogram canvas has been a hit ever since. Whether covering the first flat-bottomed trunks of yesteryear, the guitar case of Keith Richards , or in some fab LV Speedy30 handbag, Louis Vuitton bags can’t go wrong. The pattern was one in a series developed as attempts to thwart off replication from competitors. Today, it is a fact that 40% of all replica items seized by authorities are knockoffs of the LV House items! The pattern was a successor to the beige and brown striped model, whose stripes show up again in the Croisette line of the Mini Lin collection. The standard Mini Lin canvas however, is speckled with the LV logo, quatrefoils and flowers, all reminiscent of the Japanese influences of the late 1800’s. Unlike the LV Damier canvas line, where the pattern is dyed onto the leather, the LV monogram Mini Lin is made of jacquard weave. The jacquard fabric, invented in the mid-1700’s, lends further to the feeling of antique femininity of the bag. These bags are to die for, from the beige on grey Speedy 30 with a surprising colorful charm strung lovingly between the rolled calfskin handles, to the smart, body conscious, and already iconic LV Manon PM, which comes in tempting beige on ebene or light grey on grey color combinations.
Referring to the long avenue which runs along the coastline of Cannes, France, the Croisette line of the Louis Vuitton Mini Lin collection debuted in spring 2007.
This is quite possibly the most beautiful and feminine work of all the Louis Vuitton handbags. In a sea-inspiring theme, the LV Mini Lin Croisette picks up where the traditional LV Mini Lin left off. The Mini Lin has been a favorite among the romantic crowd for years, sporting leather or denim fabrics, blushing with the famous LV monogram logo, complete with quatrefoils and inverted stars. It always comes in subdued colors, such as grey on dark grey, beige on black, or beige on grey. Now comes the cream of the collection, the Mini Lin Croisette, with its stripes as a drop set to the monogram print. The stripes are a throwback to the days when the company was in diapers, back in the late 1800’s. Louis himself started using the stripes in his leather suitcases to help thwart off replicating the bags so easily. The mix of the classic LV stripes with the classic monogram logo print combined with fresh colors makes this line perfection. The Louis Vuitton handbags, luggage accessories, and shoes (the wedges are to die for!) come in two nautical color combinations at the moment: light grey and ivory stripes with a blue monogram print, and red and ivory stripes with dark grey print. There’s something about this winning color and pattern combination that’ll have you saying ahoy in no time. This line is no longer even advertised on the LV site, only through third party vendors and as replicas. After all, when Louis Vuitton handbags come up with a too fabulous design, it’s a shame that it will be available for too long… those that recognize fashion, will go out and buy that item that season, anyway. The rest of us, that take time to warm up to trends, can buy from a legitimate LV dealer, or from a replica site.
