These days, many new and groundbreaking memory techniques are being utilized by intelligent and gifted people to achieve new heights in their personal lives. Before we can apply these memory techniques, we must understand them - this article will help you with that. After that, we will talk about how to remember all kinds of material by using them.

Unfortunately, the material we are usually required to retain is presented as written words on paper. Although we can remember text easily, it is harder to remember other types of information.
The gist of using a memory technique to enhance your memory is to attach a dramatic visual image to material you want to remember as it flows into the brain. Mnemonics is a technique designed to do precisely that.
Choose positive and neutral images. Unpleasant images may be rejected by your brain.
To better train your memory, employ powerful sensate imagery whenever possible.
Utilize all of your five senses to help store information about specific events and facts. To retain information, all of the senses are used in mnemonic memory techniques.

Provide multi-dimensions to your images including movement and space.

Exaggerate the most significant aspects of a picture.
Be funny! We seem to easily retain comical images in our mind.

Crude images and comments are hard to get past.
A lot of people have felt that learning new memory techniques is a difficult process; as with any new habit, they can take time to acquire and internalize.
