Now I know this is a lot easier said than done, but you need to take this vital step. 2) Focus on the good things:

Yes, it hurts to have your heart broken, but instead of dwelling on the pain, you should think of all the things that you should be happy for. Take pleasure from the simple things because they can bring you comfort, and surround yourself those things that have a positive effect on your life.

3) Don't contact your ex:

To successfully move on after a breakup, if at all possible, avoid contact with your ex. There may be situations where you see them on a regular basis-like at work or wherever, but in those cases, just be civil, don't get too involved with what they are doing.

4) Get away for a while:

Even if it's for just one night, relax totally and forget about the complexities of life. This alone can help ease the pain as well as the stress you have been feeling.

5) Purge yourself emotionally:

You can't heal a broken heart without taking away the pains that are tearing at your mind, but you can find comfort in the arms of your most trusted friends and let it all out. Have a good cry in order to get it out of your system. Then put it all behind you and move on with your life.

6) Find new and exciting things:

The fact is thay recovering from a break up can take years to completely move on, so find new and exciting things to full your time until the pain of the break up reduces.

You can't heal your broken heart in a moment or two, a week or even a month but you can find peace in the arms of your most trusted friends and let it all out, by having a good cry in order to get it out of your system. Then you need put the unhappy experience behind you and move on with your life.
