Initially regulated by the Office of The National Lottery, national lottery was eventually handed over to the National Lottery Commission - which is a non-departmental public body. Nearly more than half the populations of UK are found to be playing national lottery on a regular basis. And it is very nice to know that around 28% of the lottery revenue is used for good causes across the country.

To play lottery it is important that you have to show age poof certificate and you are eligible only if you are above 18 years. You need to fill a play slip, containing number of boxes termed as “boards," using pencil or blue/black ink. Put a bold mark on any six number boxes and in case you make any mistake then put a mark on the void box and then hand over the ticket to the terminal. The winning prize amount is paid as lump sum amount which is completely tax free. The prized should be claimed within 180 days after the draw otherwise the prize amount is given out through the good cause's fund after the lapse of the specific period of declaration.

Playing national lottery will not only carry out the submissive hopes of its players in making huge revenue based on luck but also play a big purpose in articulating the funds and charities towards the social development of the nation.
