Network Marketing Tip: Be The Third Little Pig!

I sit here and wonder… What is the objective of every Network Marketing Tip? Well, you and I both know that it is to make more money and have quality leads to talk with - Isn't That Right?

So then, how do you accomplish that?

Now you're a member of a Direct Sales business and you gone to your first corporate gathering, got all pumped up, and you went back to your house and started making your warm market list of friends and family. You're going to your company's traditional marketing training and you are dropping your new business cards everywhere you go, you harass people in line at the grocery and even try to get your kids piano teacher to get involved with this incredible opportunity you have stumbled upon.

But for some reason, you've worked through all of your 'warm' leads and all you see in the bottom of your pockets is blue fuzz and no dollars!

Well, have you really considered what you are selling? Really?

And you think to yourself, "Bruce, we have 50 kinds of products – that is what I'm selling."

But let's step back for just a minute and think about that. you are selling? Think about what the other person is buying or investing in. Consider the time when you got started in your opportunity – what was the number one factor in your decision?

This brings me to the story of the Three Little Pigs:

As the tale is told the First Little Pig constructed his house of straw. He had just joined his MLM opportunity and he was promoting their products right and left from his home. He was giving it all he had, but at the end of the day when the Big Bad Wolf came knocking…

"Knock, knock" and "POOF"!

It only took a fierce blow from the Big Bad Wolf to level his house.

Then, that same day, his MLM Company called him and they went out of business! He quickly realized that promoting their products first was like living in a straw house and as soon as they went out of business, he was out of business too – immediately. He realized quickly that he had no control over his future and ran to his second brother's home.

The Second Little Pig throws open the door and quickly welcomes his first brother into his home constructed from sticks. Feeling secure, the Second Little Pig shares his new MLM with his first brother. He lets him know how awesome it is and all about the endless buffets at all of the vacation destinations he is going to go on that will be at their conferences and oh what fun it will be.

He goes to the closet and brings out his white board and shows him just how he’s going become financially free by sponsoring all the other co-worker piglets. The second brother is trying so vigourously to convince his first brother on the "Dream", but he's not buying it. Seeing that it's all hype and after living in a home of straw, he's pretty weary of all the fluff of this "Dream" his brother is selling him. (Reminds him of the builder who sold him his house of straw!) The Second Little Pig realizes it might be easier to sell ice to an Eskimo than to convince little piglets to join based on the "Dream" and quits his MLM opportunity.

Then... "Knock, knock"

"POOOOF", It's the Big Bad Wolf again and down goes the house of sticks. And the first two brothers run to Third Little Pig’s house !

Quickly they get to their brother's house made of bricks, they perceive how fine it is built. The time and effort that went into it's construction and foundation. Their third brother greets them as he's just about to jump on his computer to attend a training webinar training for the night with some other team members. The first two brothers just sit in befuddlement and can't believ it, THEY DON'T HERE A THING! Well nothing about their third brother’s MLM company. He’s just helping people with advice and answering their questions.

Then... "Knock, knock"

"POOOOOOF", "POOOOF", "Pooof", "Puh..." Hah!! The Big Bad Wolf can't do it, he's met his match and leaves, because the excellently constructed house of bricks are too much for even him! The Third Little Pig has defeated the wolf and never ever got up out of his chair!

All the while, undisturbed inside...

The Third Little Pig's webinar ends and the three brothers are sitting around having a snack when the phone rings... "Hi, Third Little Pig, would you please tell me about that attraction marketing you were discussing earlier and by the way... what is you business anyway? You had so much great information tonight, but you never even mentioned what you do or what company you are in." The first two brothers are shocked! As soon as the Third Little Pig is off the phone, the others say "We never have anyone call us! We cold call all day long and never talk to anyone who want to talk with us – cold call is awful and does not work!"

Then the Third Little Pig lets them in on his secret. He says "Here is the number one Network Marketing Tip for you that will forever change your success and put you in a position of personal power and release you from the constraints of any MLM you may join".

The brothers interrupt "But you aren't selling anything, how can we do that?"

Third Little Pig says "Aha, you are starting to get it. I am selling ME first, not my MLM, not any products and not any crazy dreams. It's actually simple, pigs all like to do business with pigs they relate to. They like pigs who are helpful and teach them how to be successful instead of trying to sell them something like a used car salesman. And this is the best part yet! You can do the exact same thing and allow success beyond your wildest dreams, if you just give value to other pigs first, help other pigs to achieve their success and build relationships along the way – You too, will find your success."

A couple of parting thoughts for you: If you are still struggling in your network marketing company, it's probably a result of one of these next two reasons:

1. You flat out don’t have enough quality leads to talk to. (This is solved by first honing your marketing skills and having a duplicateable system in place to magnetically attract quality leads.)

2. You just aren't calling back your leads. (Probably because it’s all cold calling and that just stinks – over time, even the hardiest of marketers will break down and wear out. As long as you lead with the value you provide, people will look forward to you.)

Network Marketing Tip: By being yourself, leading with value and promoting you first, you'll magnetically attract quality, like-minded leads who you'll want to call back. If your marketing system produces cold calling fever when you think about it, then I'd say it’s time you found yourself a new system for marketing!
