Looking for a Nordictrack Spacesaver elliptical? It can get confusing since there isn't one specific spacesaver elliptical.
Spacesaver is actually a term that Nordictrack applies to several of their folding ellipticals. And there are several different models in the folding elliptical lineup (including older versions that don't give you as much for the money as you get with the latest models).
So how can you find the best Nordictrack folding elliptical for your money? This article will lay out 2 of the latest options along with the benefits of each.
Model #1 Nordictrack Spacesaver SE7i Elliptical Trainer
This folding crosstrainer actually started out as the "Audiostrider 990" - a very popular trainer that Nordictrack updates every year or two.
In fact it was even awarded several "Best Buys" a few years ago. This year Nordictrack changed the name to the Spacesaver SE7i and added a few upgrades.
The trainer folds up to a very small footprint – just 32" x 28". The arms fold down and the entire machine folds up on the front base so it's compact enough to store in a closet or corner.
You also get incline on this trainer - which changes the slope or ramp of the elliptical pathway. A lot of people like this option since it adds more crosstraining options for a more effective calorie-burning workout.
You also get some fun additions like an iPod dock with speakers and a fan to keep you cool. Plus it comes with iFit LIVE where you can go online to download new workouts and track your workout progress over time.
Model #2 Nordictrack Spacesaver SE9i Elliptical
The SE9i is a bit higher end than the SE7i model. It gives you a few more added goodies including more resistance levels and a higher user weight capacity.
It still folds up to a small footprint of 32 x 28 inches - just like the SE7i.
The main difference though is in the console. You get a full color (vs dual color on the SE7i) touch screen console.
And there's a built-in web browser included. So you can surf the net, read emails or watch youtube videos as you workout.
And the SE9i comes with iFit LIVE too - so when you map out new trails to run with Googlemaps, you see landmarks pass you by in full color - which is very different than the SE7i console.
So the SE9i gives you a lot more in terms of graphics and workout entertainment options.
But it's also about $400 more than the SE7i - so it really depends on that you're looking for, your budget, goals and preferences.
To sum up - you have two great Nordictrack Spacesaver elliptical options that are currently on the market. They both give you incline and lots of resistance levels as well as moving arm bars and heart rate monitors.
Plus they both add in iFit LIVE for lots of workout challenge. And they easily fold up and store away when you're done.
Regardless of which you choose, be sure to take your time and do your research. It will pay off in the long run with more enjoyable workouts and a more energetic, in-shape body!
