Overnight service by several courier companies is one of the many features popular with most of the top courier companies today. Some are local, and some international. Some of the most notable international courier companies to have provided or specializes in this kind of service include FedEx Corporation's own FedEx Express, DHL, and ABX Air, inc. First in the line is the top company that provides overnight delivery services, FedEx Express.

FedEx Express
One of the top international courier companies that provided such service is FedEx Express. FedEx Express is considered as the original overnight courier services, providing next day air service within the United States and time-definite international service. FedEx Express operates the largest civil aircraft fleet in the world and the largest fleet of wide bodied civil aircraft; it also carries more freight than any other airline.

The company started overnight operations on April 17, 1973 with fourteen Dassault Falcon 20s that connected twenty-five cities in the United States. Services included both overnight and two-day package and envelope delivery services, as well as Courier Pak.

DHL
DHL or Dalsey, Hillblom and Lynn is one of the biggest known courier company in the world, rivaling that of FedEx and UPS. Although the company isn't quite popular as that of FedEx Express', DHL was one of the only truly international delivery companies, and the only one offering overnight service. In the 1970s, DHL first offered its overnight delivery service. The only major competitor in the overnight market was Federal Express (FedEx), which didn't open its first international service until 1981, expanding to Toronto, Canada. Nevertheless, the domestic market was extremely profitable, and DHL was the third largest courier behind FedEx and the UPS.

ABX Air, inc.
ABX Air, Inc. is a cargo airline headquartered at Airborne Airpark in unincorporated Clinton County, Ohio, United States, near the City of Wilmington. ABX operates scheduled, ad hoc charter and ACMI freight services, including overnight express small-package services and freight in the USA, Canada and Puerto Rico. ABX Air's main customer is DHL, and the vast majority of the freight it carries is for that company. Most of ABX Air's aircraft are painted with DHL's yellow and red livery.

Other Local Courier Companies
Local courier companies have also specialized in providing overnight delivery services, such as LBC's overnight delivery philippines. LBC, or Luzon Brokerage Corporation, is a courier company based in the Philippines that first served the overnight delivery philippines service in the country. Because of the overnight delivery philippines service, LBC grew to become one of the most respected courier company in the Philippines.
