Online Businesses - Team Effort Wins the Day

Your new online business "feels" like it's ready to take off however...

You still know there is another piece of the puzzle you need to buy, learn or to experience... to find the missing piece to the online success formula?

If you are feeling or experiencing like success in your online business is always just a hair away from where you are now, then this article is for you because most online entrepreneurs have been at that same place.

You see, in my case, I've bought, sold, and started quite a few small businesses over the past 30 years.

My Story is Like Many

So, I really thought when I left the offline world to start a business online, it would be like it was with some of my previous business experiences.

I thought if I found a great product or service that I could thoroughly embrace, and then set about learning all I needed to learn, develop a plan of action, and then work as hard as I needed to in order to accomplish every part of the plan, that I would replace my previous year earnings in the first year! That was actually my goal and expectation.

Boy, was I in for a surprise! You and I both have read the reports or heard the interviews of those who are creating really great incomes online and some with pretty simple ideas - by people who had far less business and sales experience than myself, less education, less of a support system, less money to start with.

So, here I was, hugely missing my income target not by $20k, or $30k but by well over $100k. And in the course of that first year I spent many thousands of dollars trying to figure everything out, so I was definitely moving in the wrong direction.

Thomas Edison

I felt a little like Thomas Edison when he finally figured out the electric light bulb after 2000 previous trials, and was asked by a young reporter, "how it felt to fail so many times, and Edison's classic response was: I never failed once, it just happened to be a 2000 step process!

Well, starting a brand new online business, if you've never done it before, is very much like this - a lot of trial and error, a lot to learn. So what's the solution?

Simple but Powerful Discovery

For most of us the turning point is recognizing it is too big a job to be done alone -it's a team effort. An online business simply requires too much for one person trying to go it alone - too many varied tasks.

The idea of participating as part of a team is especially important since the online world changes so quickly. Sometimes the team is just two friends that get together. Or it may be huge team. The size is not the issue but the principle of teamwork is essential.

So, the old win-win concept still works! Find where you can bring value to others and where others can provide you with what you need for online success.
