Reasons of Why You Should Get a Camping Tent

There is nothing better than enjoying a few nights and roughing it in the outdoors by sleeping in a camping tent. No matter if you are on a hunting trip or just taking the family on a camping trip, or even if your kids want to have a sleep over with their friends in the back yard, you will find that there are many luxuries of using a camping tent.

One of the biggest advantages of owning a camping tent is the money that you can save by not having to pay for a motel room. The way our economy is today, every extra dollar counts that you save. Camping Tents can range anywhere from $20.00 to $500.00. Depending on how big you want your tent. Think about it this way, if you get a motel room at an average of $80.00 per night and you stay for 3 nights, that is $240.00. You can buy a nice Camping Tent for that money and that is a one time fee. You can use your tent over and over and it’s not going to cost you anything anymore, once you purchased your tent. Not only do you save on motel cost, you really save on not having to eat out at a restaurant for every meal. If you are out camping you can build a campfire to cook your food over. You can cook anything from a hot dog to a nice juicy T-Bone Steak, depending on what you are hungry for. Just keep the fire a little ways away from your tent. I just highly recommend, from my own camping experience, to keep your meat in a sealed cooler. The reason I say this is because if you leave meat out it has a very tasteful odor for the wildlife, especially bears. So be very careful not to spill any blood from your raw meat by your campsite. I will give you an example why you don’t do that. A few years ago my family was out camping in the woods and well we were not very smart about it. We had spilled some blood from our thawed out hamburger on the side of our cooler and we never cleaned it up. At night time when we were sleeping we felt a bear sweep across the outside our camping tent. It went straight for that cooler. And this was a big black bear. We just stayed in our camping tent and didn’t say a word and let it do its thing. After it licked off all the blood from the cooler it finally left. Man that was an intense half hour. So that is why I encourage to be smart about your food. Don’t let that story scare you, if you don’t harm the wildlife they won’t hurt you.

Camping tents come in many different shapes, sizes and colors. Camping tents are made for single person tents, double person tents, or even family tents. Camping tents can accommodate anywhere from 1 to 10 people and sleep comfortably. Camping tents are made for all times of the year. Most camping tents are waterproof and can be up all year round. It doesn’t take long to put up a camping tent and it comes down just as fast. They are very easy to put up, if you follow the set up directions that are provided with your tent. Camping tents are light weight, so that way they don’t get so heavy if you have to carry them on your back for awhile if your in the woods hiking. Camping tents pack up tight, so they make good for storage space. They don’t take up much room in your vehicle, so you have plenty of room for your other hunting or camping supplies. There are many name brand camping tents to choose from. Here are just a few out of the many: Eureka Camping Tents, Stansport Camping Tents, Wenzel Camping Tents, and Swiss Gear Camping Tents. Eureka Camping Tents are becoming one of the most popular tents. The good thing about Camping Tents is that they will last forever. That is if you take good care of it. One of the biggest problems I notice is that people don't let there tent air out before they put them away for the year. What I mean is that if your tent gets rained on you should let it air out before youput it away. That way next time you take it out, it doesn't have that musty smell on it.

As you can see there are many luxuries of using a camping tent. There are a lot of people that will agree with me, but I’m sure there are some people that hate the outdoors. But you don’t know until you try it. Who knows you might like it! That is the great part about the outdoors, you can make it as adventurous as you want, or you can make it just easy going and relaxing. The possibilities are endless when it comes to the outdoors. So next time you go on a hunting trip or a camping trip please consider sleeping in a nice camping tent rather than in a motel room.
