The years go by too quickly. You can remember, and sometimes you still see yourself, being a 16-year old in the prime of youth, yet now you know 16-year old kids in your family or otherwise, whom you can envision as babies. It is not easy growing older. It is even harder admitting that you are. What makes this fact of life most difficult of all is the apparent deterioration of health and looks that often go along with the aging process.

Mankind has dreamed since time began of there being a way to hold on to youth and vitality, even as the years continue to pass. Ponce de Leon had the fountain of youth, and modern times have costly plastic surgeries.

What if there was a wiser, cheaper, and safer, alternative to getting better results? Some may partake with an open mind, but you are wise to maintain a certain degree of skepticism that will require further investigation before actually putting it into your system…only natural, and hopefully, you are the type that does not take chances with your health.

You have one body, and you have to take as much care with it as you can. You will not be getting another. That is why before trying out anti-aging supplements you should check the ingredients. And one ingredient to look for is resveratrol. Resveratrol is a substance found in red wine that could hold the key to longevity and vitality. Best of all, it is an all-natural substance that has no negative side effects.

Still a skeptic?

So were these investigative outlets that put resveratrol to the test:

* WebMD: "Resveratrol is one of a group of antioxidant compounds called polyphenols found in red wine that has been reported to have anti-inflammatory as well as anti-cancer properties [and] may counter type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance..."

* CNN: "At high doses, resveratrol appears to prolong life spans and improve health in mice…"

* Fox News Channel: "the new study…shows that mammals given ultra high doses of resveratrol can get the good effects of cutting calories without actually doing it."

* The New York Times: "Resveratrol makes you look like a trained athlete without the training."

* Independent scientific researchers have even alluded to resveratrol as "...the Holy Grail of aging research."

No one is saying to cut out moderate and sensible eating or a healthy exercise routine. Those are good things that can only enrich your life. But taking resveratrol gives you so many more advantages in addition to the ones acquired through traditional healthy living.

According to the Harvard Medical School and the Institute of Genetics and Molecular Biology, it can even counter the effects of a high-fat diet and prolong life.

In men, says the University of Alabama at Birmingham, resveratrol can reduce the risk of developing prostate cancer.

And as for women, according to the University of Nebraska, "this could stop the whole progression that leads to breast cancer down the road."

The potential benefits are many. The potential health risks are zero.
