Solutions of Event 5064 and Hard Disk Corruption in Windows Server 2003

As a server operating system, Windows Server 2003 provides variety of security, data backup and reliability features which make it popular among users. Cause

Event 5064 is logged in Windows Server 2003 system, when the hard disk of your system is damaged. It can also occur if file system index (MFT: Master File Table or FAT: File Allocation Table) is corrupt.

Solution

To resolve the above behavior, you need to follow these steps:

• You need to test and repair damaged file system index. To do this, you should use chkdsk /r command.
• If you still receive the same error message, you need to reformat the hard disk and restore lost files and folders from recent data backup.
