In the history of camera-equipped
mobile phones, one name has always been there as one of the key players in the game:
Sony Ericsson. With their new mobile phone, the
Sony Ericsson C905, they've raised the bar yet again!
The history of camera-equipped mobile phones - Sony Ericsson set the pace
Think back; can you remember a time when
mobile phones didn't have cameras in? It's hard to remember now, but as recently as 2002,
mobile phones with cameras were... well, non-existent, in the UK! The first company that brought the two (cameras and
mobile phones) together was
Sony Ericsson... well, ok, granted, it was Ericsson, this being the days before the two big companies joined up to make
Sony Ericsson. Back to the point though, their camera attachment, for
mobile phones such as the T39 and T68, was the first time we in the UK had ever seen
mobile phones and cameras come together. It was certainly an eye-opener, but I don't think anyone quite predicted how much it would change the mobile landscape, and lead us up to today, where the
Sony Ericsson C905 is poised to take over dominance. .
When it came to
mobile phones with
built-in cameras, then yet again, it was
Sony Ericsson who raised the bar, with the triumphant double-header of the P800 and the T610, although it was definitely the
Sony Ericsson T610 that had the bigger impact in the world of
mobile phones. THOUSANDS of people bought one, and
Sony Ericsson sold lord knows how many of them worldwide. It was also the first non-smartphone they released to have a camera built in. The T610 (spiritual ancestor of the
Sony Ericsson C905) more than anything, set the standard that other
mobile phones would have to follow.
In other words, the history of camera-equipped
mobile phones is invariably linked with
Sony Ericsson. That trend is set to continue with the AWESOME
Sony Ericsson C905, the UK's first 8 megapixel camera phone.
Sony Ericsson C905 - the best camera phone EVER made!
Yep, that's right even just on the resolution of images it can produce (which is a pretty big 'just', for a camera phone), the
Sony Ericsson C905 smashes all other
mobile phones, weighing in at a whopping great 8 megapixels. It's quite simply the highest resolution camera phone the UK's ever seen. But of course, you can't just take megapixels into account, when discussing how good the cameras on
mobile phones are, because other factors come into play, like lens quality, software quality. Of course, all of that is a moot point with the
Sony Ericsson C905, as it's a Cyber-Shot powered mobile phone. Or, in other words, you get amazing lenses, image stabiliser, flash, autofocus, face recognition and a whole host of features that make taking the perfect photo easy. Throw in masses of multimedia access and super-fast Internet access, as well as GPS, and it's easy to see why the
Sony Ericsson C905 will beat all other camera
mobile phones!
