When you see a new house or any new construction, what do you notice first? It’s height? It’s colour? Or the surrounding greens? Is it not a very typical thing to see that a house or a building is walled with our oh-so-famous-and-reliable-cement? And that is what makes the walls unnoticeable! Unless of course if it is painted purple out of all the conventionally coloured structures around it. If you want to make your house unique yet does not stand-out to be weird-looking, using wall tiles is a very smart choice. And to give it more character, you can always use limestone tiles. It is guaranteed to give your house a second-look from strangers and passer-by’s.

Limestone tiles have been found to be more durable than any other wall-covering and tiles. They are also clean and easy to maintain. They are stain resistant to most acids and do not easily get react with oxygen. If there are any rooms where you want to seal with a sense of tranquillity, this is always a safe choice. It can make the room less noise polluted and it gives sense of freshness because it is made out of natural and organic material. It also offers texture inside the room. You can choose to install it flat with cement or embossed on the walls, exposing the canals in between tiles. Limestone has also been a popular choice for walls outdoors. This is because; it still looks nice and wonderful even if they are not always clean. There are some households whom actually allow moss to stick to their walls to get a more natural garden look. You can also attach hanging plants to them. Limestone tiles are also used in making wall fountains as well as its flooring. This material is friendly to fishes, small turtles, lilies and almost all of the living things found in a garden.

If you have noticed, this kind of material is popular in houses or backyards where they try to present the elements of air, water and earth (very popular in feng shui inspired houses). This is because, limestone tiles gives out a very natural glow that interacts well with nature and tranquillity. One thing you would need to take extra attention to is that this kind of tiles are very heavy and may be a little difficult to install if you do not have sufficient skills and techniques that professional tile installers have. This is because of gravity. But once they are securely attached to your walls, they are very durable and beautiful. These tiles are available in a wide range of colours but the most widely used are those that are of earth tones. Red or maroon is also a popular choice. Most of them are available in square and rectangular cuts.

No matter what colour choice you finally make, or how you have decided to install them and maximize its beauty, limestone tiles still give the same effect on your chosen space. They inject colour, tranquillity and uniqueness to your life and space.
