Top Places To Find A Date

In this article we will be looking at some of the best places to find a date

Parties. Parties are always a good bet because a potential date will likely know someone in common with yourself. This is a great way to break the ice with someone.

Cruises. Stop laughing. You do not need to be in the Blue Rinse brigade to enjoy a cruise. You can find cruises designed for singles or cruises that do not allow kids. Just beware that you may fall into the holiday romance trap which is based on fantasy and not reality but a cruise is still a good option so dig out your cabana wear.

Grocery stores. Grocery stores, although a bit cliched are a fantastic place to meet someone. It is non-threatening and spontaneous meetings happen all the time. There is a supermarket near where I live that if you are in the produce section on a Monday evening and you have a banana facing upwards in your basket then you are open to an approach. If the banana is pointing down it means no thanks.

Bus stops. If you are a regular bus user, the chances are that you will know most of the people, at least by sight who catch the bus at the same time. You might perhaps be able to sit next to them. The key here is patience. Move to quickly and you will come across as a stalker. Over time you can build up a rapport with someone without the pressure of being, say, in a bar, where you only perhaps have a few minutes to present your credentials.

Bookstores. The great thing about modern bookstores is they usually have a coffee shop attached so if you do bump into a beautiful specimen browsing A Room With A View, you can invite them to chat about Forster over a latte.

Restaurants. This one requires some nerve. You have to be brave enough to go over to someone on their own and ask them if they would like company. If they say yes then you are a giant. If they say no, it is pretty embarrassing, you will almost certainly have been over heard and it would take a very steely personality to recover so public a rejection, even supposing you have the nerve to ask in the first place. I find it hard to believe it would be possible to pretend nothing had occurred and take a table for one. However if you can pull this one off, your new companion will assume you have nerves of steel which is never a bad way to kick off a new relationship.

Airplanes. The potentially good thing here is that you have a captive audience and often plenty of time to work your charm. If you are traveling first class you can pull a move like David Frost on Caroline Cushing which was a moment of pure class, assuming the movie was accurate to how it really happened.

Hopefully this has given you a few ideas of places where you can find a date, in addition to some of the tactics you can use in each scenario. You can find dates anywhere really. The key is being able to effect a good approach that will be seen as attractive and charming.
