With education fees on the rise, there is a lot of concern expressed by students and their parents. They are finding it difficult to cope with the recession. How can they pay such astronomical amounts? But education is important and every student wants to go to the best college and get that dream job. For these students, there are some hidden finances sources that they can use to make their dream come true.

When you are looking for university fees help, start by getting scholarships. There are many things you can get one for. The first among them is by making great accomplishments in academics. Some colleges also award scholarships in sports. You can also get a scholarship for hundred percent attendance in college. There are many other scholarships but you would have to check with your college or other financial aid institutions if you fit the bill.

Scholarships and bursaries are similar. An exception is that for being eligible for a bursary you have to be financially weak and prove it too. You have to prove that your tuition and other expenses are higher than what you or your parents are earning. You will have to provide your parents’ financial statements and other financial documents as proof. Also you will have to apply for a bursary which is not the case with scholarships. Search online for bursaries or approach your school or college.

Among other student money tips is getting a grant. A grant is given to students who are working on a dissertation or a thesis. These are different from scholarships. To get a scholarship, you have to submit your CV and based on whether your achievements are noteworthy, you get a scholarship. But to get a grant, along with the CV you have to submit a proposal. In this you have to state what work you are intended to accomplish in detail. The opposite party will go through the proposal and decide whether you deserve a grant. Grants are given by educational institutions, the government and other organizations.

Another student money saving way is by getting a fellowship. But only graduates and upper year students can apply for this. A fellowship means you will be doing some job at the school or college. You can teach some course and deliver lectures. Although getting a fellowship is competitive but it is worth it since it adds to your CV.

It is easy to get student loans. It is important to research before you apply for a loan. Look for loans that charge the lowest rate of interest and a longer pay back period.

If all this seems complicated then take up a course that allows you to work part time. This is an excellent student money tip. Almost all colleges allow at least 20 hours of part time work with studies and classes. Look for a job that furthers your prospects in the career you have chosen. For example, if you are a hotel management student, then do a job in some fine dining restaurant.

Once you know what options you can opt for, choose the best. It will be one step ahead in making your dream come true!
