People who are making lots of money on eBay, usually do not make all of their money exclusively on eBay. eBay can work with the business that you already have to make it better.

Selling Inventory That Is Bombing

If you find yourself with items from another business that you haven't sold, you could sell them on eBay. For items that are no longer needed in your business that you can't sell for a premium price, you can use eBay to get rid of them.

If you know what you are doing, the ability to make tons of money is there. When you know about the items that you are selling, you will know if they are of high quality, and if they are good to use in your business, and if they are sallable or not. Your old stuff will have a brand new market.

When you have a great reputation on eBay, you will also be a wonderful buyer. eBay has just about anything that your business needs, and when you get it from eBay it will not cost as much as it would from somewhere else.

Getting the Sales Side Going

The actual power of eBay lies in your ability to link to your other businesses. You can link to anywhere you want, and write whatever you feel like, on your eBay "About Me" page. Your business will get more visitors when you link your About Me page to your website from eBay.

In order to make an About Me page, simply go to the toolbar, click 'Community', go to the bottom of the page, and click where it says 'Create an About Me page.' Simple as can be. eBay can help you through the process, or you can add your own HTML if you are savvy in that area. You will see many more people coming to your site when you write about your website and link to it.

Many people have proven that this is a powerful technique for getting traffic to your website from eBay. You have the ability to sell directly to buyers, when you include some persuasive ad copy on your site. This will effectively cut out the eBay middleman. Since the people who click to go to your site are already interested in your auction, then all of the traffic that comes your way will be targeted.

If you already have an e-commerce site, this technique can be super powerful. It may be an excellent idea to make a website solely for the inventory in your eBay business, taking off a few dollars on items, and making sure that every item has a Paypal 'Buy Now' button. Make your website link to your About Me page saying something like, "Get More Bargains by Visiting My Website!" This is all it takes.

This can be an awesome tool especially if you are already have a shopping cart set up on your regular site. And if you don't have website like this, it is probably a good idea to set up one with just your eBay auction items listed at a small discount and a "Buy Now" button through PayPal. By doing this, you can link to your "About Me" page and inform customers of your great sale prices and you have just made your potential for making money grow!

If you've wondered about small business promotion, desperate for other ways to sell your services or products, then wonder no more. Promote your business with eBay and see if your profits don't expand quickly.
