Some people use these techniques to get unfair advantage over others, to sell something and so on. There are many other uses for this type of hypnosis, but these are the ones that it is used for a lot. Therapy is one of the more positive reasons that this is used for. Covert hypnosis is very helpful in hypnotherapy, especially for the clients whom the hypnotist needs to send indirect messages.
