What's in Your Lottery Toolbox?

In preparation for the next drawing, serious lottery players use a variety of lottery software tools. Lottery software algorithms that investigate the history of winning numbers make up most of the tools in a lottery toolbox. These tools or programs run the gamut from simple and straight forward to the perplexing and senselessly complex. There is always one lottery tool that can be found in any players lottery toolbox. It is more basic than all the rest. It is a simple listing of the past winning numbers in chronological order.
Most players accept this as the classical way of cataloging a lotterys history. Usually, the winning numbers from one drawing are shown on each line preceeded by the drawing number or drawing date.
It will probably look something like this:
1 3 6 17 24 33 46
2 11 12 27 29 41 42
3 5 16 26 31 35 44
...
When a player is assembling his play list for the next drawing, this tool allows him to peruse the past winning numbers searching for lottery number patterns or trends. Personally, I'm not very good at this but, I know of many people who are quite adept at it. They have a uncanny ability to discover patterns where the rest of us just see a list of numbers.
My Eyes Hurt
I already know what some of you are saying, 'You've got to be kidding. This is no tool at all. This is a joke.' Hold your horses there Senior Cynic, there is much more. Mucho mas!
There is one thing that is rather obvious about such a listing. It looks like a database similar to one you might see in an excel spreadsheet. Therefore, using typical database tools can make our search for those elusive lottery number patterns and trends quite a bit easier and, hopefully, more productive. Here are some examples of what is possible.
As players eyes go back and forth scanning a drawing, players complain that they lose track of their position and have to start over. There is also that headache that ensues about ten minutes later. For example, a player wants to compare the first column of numbers with the forth column of numbers. Why? He's looking for any number pattern or trend that could give him an advantage.
By simply rearranging the columns, the player reduces eye strain and fatigue. By placing the two columns of interest next to each other, the player is no longer distracted by the numbers in between. Further, to minimize distractions he could also simply blank the remaining columns. This affords the player the ability to focus all of his attention on the columns of interest. Players love this feature.
Lottery Drawing Chronology
A chronological listing present other problems. The first drawing is followed by the second drawing, etc. Why should a player look at the winning numbers in order? Is there some law that says we have to view the past winning numbers in that way? Let's think outside the toolbox.
We could sort the database on any column. If we sort column 1 then all of the drawings that contain the number 1 will be displayed together in a group. Wow! Now, that's an advantage. Looking for lottery number patterns or trends involving the number 1 just got a lot easier. And, that's not all. How about sorting column 1 in descending order? This would place the largest numbers at the top.
Remember, we started out with a simple listing of the winning lottery numbers. Now, we can turn the lottery history inside out with some simple database techniques. This gives the player an entirely new perspective. The player now has a wide variety of new vantage points.
Every Serious Lottery Players Toolbox
These are the lottery tools that you need in your lottery toolbox.
1. Blank columns that are not of interest.
2. Sort the database in ascending order.
3. Sort the database in descending order.
4. Rearrange the columns to suit.
When you are looking for an advantage, your vantage point can make all the difference. So how many vantage points are there using these lottery tools? Hold on to your hats. By mixing and matching these four techniques, there are an astounding 21,528 possible vantage points for a 6 number lottery! This should shake any previously held skepticism to its very core. What's in your lottery toolbox?
