That's an easy question. All lottery players want are good numbers. Analyzing and examining the prior winning numbers presents the serious lottery player the best lottery numbers to play in the next drawing. By doing so, they can dramatically improve their chances of winning the lottery.
Playing the lottery this way may not appeal to everybody. If analyzing lottery number histories is not your cup of tea, then buy some quick picks and be done with it. But, if you think you might enjoy analyzing lottery number patterns and trends,, then you can create your very own lottery game.
The Basis of All Lottery Strategies
This is the basic lottery strategy used by serious lottery players. Develop a reduced play list. For example, a 6/49 game has a 49 number play list. But, a serious lottery player may reduce the play list from 49 to 30 numbers. If he does a good job, the player's odds improve dramatically from 1:13,983,816 to 1:593,775 if all 6 of the winning numbers are found in the 30 number play list. Increasing ones chances by a factor of 22.5 is astounding! By doing this 13.4 Million non-winning wagers have been removed. The player doesn't drop his money on any of these losers. His money will be concentrated in the area where the lottery jackpot winner is hiding.
Cycles - Playing the Odds
The best tool every deviced to create a reduced play list is called Cycles. Cycles locates the drawings in a lotteries history that have produced the most winning numbers. As a result, the numbers the player will include in his reduced play list are easily identified. This is what is called playing the odds; the same thing professional gamblers do every day. Is the player right every time? Of course not. But, just like the professional gambler, he is confident that over time he will consistently outperform the typical player.
Using the Ohio 6/49 lottery as an example, I'll show you the enormous power of Cycles. Although, Cycles will work equally well for any lottery. The Cycles and their values may change because all lotteries are different. But, the overall concept and effect is universal. Cycles are very important tools for any lottery.
Historically, some lottery players might create their reduced play list from the winning numbers that hit in the last 10 drawings. This is referred to as Cycle 1-10. The question is, has this been a good strategy for the Ohio Classic Lotto? Let's check it out.
All 6 jackpot winning numbers were produced 28 times by Cycle 1-10 over a period of 205 drawings. But, the best choice was Cycle 33-42 over this period. Over the same period, Cycle 33-42 produced 37 lottery jackpot winners. That's a 32.1% improvement! To use Cycle 33-42, the player would gather the winning numbers from the 33rd through 43rd previous drawings for his play list. For any Ohio player that has been using Cycle 1-10, reading this has to be a shocking and sobering moment.
The Best and the Worst Lottery Strategies
Knowing that Cycle 33-42 was the best choice, curiosity alone begs the question, what was the worst choice? The answer is Cycle 18-27. It only produced a meager 22 lottery jackpots. Therefore, Cycle 33-42 outperformed the worst performing Cycle, Cycle 18-27, by a whopping 68.2%! It is clear, your play list choices are critical to your success. Playing the odds won't guarantee that you will win the lottery but, it will improve your chances of winning the lottery.
Here is a question for all lottery players in Ohio. How many of you knew that Cycle 33-42 had been the best choice over the last 205 drawings? Did you really know that Cycle 18-27 was the worst? If you follow my Lotto Blog posts you probably did. Creating a reduced play list is all about making good choices and consistently playing the odds. So, what do lottery players need the most? Cycles.
