According to the study 12 per cent of employees admit to becoming more insular with just 19 per cent preferring to work as part of a team. The same 19 per cent say they are looking to safeguard their own projects and contacts. While understandable, this tendency to protect their own workload is in focus opposition to what employers are asking for, with increased collaboration leading to maximum productivity.

What can employers do?

It is clear that in the above scenario, team building has never been more vital to the interests of our organisation. A popular misconception about teambuilding events is that they simply serve to reward employees and boost morale.
