Composting Tips for Composting Gardening.

Because of the truth that with the growth of plants, nutrients are taken away from the ground, they must be replaced, so that on a ongoing basis no shortage phenomena appears.

The most excellent composting tips, a way to accomplish this is with the help of eco compost with whose decomposition by micro-organisms nutrients are slowly released, which are available then to the plants for a longer period.

You should never use compost fertilizer in your garden. They enclose phosphorus, potassium and magnesium in different composition.

Indeed, they are dissolvable and as a result, can be fast absorbed by the plants, but above all, they also get hold of the nitrate nitrogen in the ground and poison there the ground water.

Especially problematic are the so-called combination preparations which still include weed herbicides besides the fertilizer.

In the compost gardening so much fertilizer will be buried that one could use the soil of such gardens often like an artificial fertilizer. In truth, fertilization with nitrogen leads to speedy growth, nevertheless, it also makes the plants more receptive to illnesses and insect damage. These type of over fertilizated gardens have nothing common with healthy, natural gardens.

Such problems cannot seem with compost which is produced from proper rubbish from compost gardening, kitchen and animal fertilizer. therefore, a compost heap should not be missing. In every household organic rubbish can be found, which can be composted.

Over all, you need a right and proper place for the compost heap in the garden. You should start it at a darker place, possibly under trees. If this is not possible, a roofed rack could be built, also if you shelter it from the sun and rain, it would be natural, even if the trees and hedges serve you as a natural shadow.

To get hold of protection from the sun and wind, one can enclose the place also with pole beans or trellis plants. If the compost heap is surrounded with a fence, Wicken, nasturtium or pumpkins are suited as well.

It is significant also that the compost heap is to be kept clean, and the surroundings easily accessible.

The size of the compost heap is decided considering the place and the waste amount. nevertheless, it should not become higher than 1.50 metres and wider than two meters and at the base. Besides, the length plays no role. A water-porous subsoil is essential. A base from stones and concrete would obstruct the way in the compost heap to earthworms and other useful animals.

In a small garden only one compost silo would be possible for the reason that shortage of space. best of all would be two silos side by side. Even as one is still filled, the other can already work.

There are compost silos in many shapes and sizes in every garden center. Most ecologically friendly would be a wooden silo, in spite of this, unfortunately, one gets this in the normal garden center, only impregnated , that for all time goes to the cost of the environment and health and also affects your compost.

Most cheap would be a self-made wood silo, which can be protected with a coat of paint, or oil varnish. Slits or holes about the whole circumference of the container are mainly significant, so that the air can circulate unchecked. The smallest size for a compost silo should be 1 square meter.

To make quickly, good compost, you must remark some composting tips and rules.
First the ground spavin low-pressure area has to be dug up, On it you stack rough material up to a height of 20 cm thickness. You can use chopped up tree or hedges, stalk of shrubs and trees. From it originates a drainage which derives surplus water from the heap and provides for the aerial circulation.
Now you can throw the other rubbish from the garden and the kitchen on the heap. Crucial for the success is the variety of the introduced materials, so a loose mixture of rough and fine, hard and soft materials.

It is not important, whether now the whole thing is mixed up layer by layer.

For the rotting process to start from the outset, there are different possibilities.

The finest way, which also causes no additional costs, is to add a few shovels of fully ready compost. One strews them simply under the new rubbish in the old compost, so the contained microorganisms immediately start the rotting process by compost gardening.

If you start composting fresh, some lime, specially tall green plants because of the acid balance, basalt flour loam mineral, between every 20-cm layer of fresh rubbish would be right. Use fresh compost material as the base of the eco compost, at the lowest layer.
