Why Go Green – Natural Gardening For Myself and For the Love of Nature

An natural gardening is the mainly valuable present you can give to your family.

Previously 100 square meters of fertile garden ground are sufficient, with practiced cultivation, to give a 4-headed family all year round with vegetables, salad , berries and fruit.

In this way children learn to understand the relations between people, plant, animal and nature. If you have enough place, build with your children a small house or wigwam from willows.

Rules for biological, natural gardening:

Renounce to chemical pesticides and artificial fertilizers,

Supply in a compost heap in which you can use all garden and nearly all culinary rubbish.

Plant as ornamental vegetation only domestic plants. They give shelter and food to useful animals and insects.

Let wild herbs grow on undisturbed places. They are food for butterflies and many other insects.

Don't remove old trees, especially fruit-trees, from the garden and saw off old knots only if they show a danger. Dead wood offers a habitat to many small animals.
Let the lawn grow, at least in a small part of the garden and renounce to weekly mowing . If you do not fertilize the lawn, it will grow by itself in the course of time a colored flower meadow one which they must mow only one to two times per year.
