Personal Tips and Tricks to Help Boost a Credit Score - By: michael A

In our ongoing attempt to tackle the very relevant subject of credit repair, today I want to address some tips that some reading this article may not know yet find very helpful.
We are living in a time, especially now, that lenders are cracking down on borrowers. Stringent rules and guidelines are being put in affect that make it harder for the less fortunate to borrow money, and for those that have money to attempt to hold onto it.
As you probably know the main identity linked to a borrower comes through the dreaded credit or FICO score. This is the Fair Isaac Corporation numbering system that is in place to label a borrower as to just what type of spender that person is.
A good score reflects good habits on the part of the responsible borrower.
A bad score reflects possibly bad habits or problems on the part of the borrower.
There is the possibility that the borrower has had identity theft or some other type of problem, which resulted in the lowering of the score.
The following tips are a way that the borrower can bring up his or her credit score.
Something that few people know about is the possibility of increasing credit points by getting on the coat tales of a stronger borrower.
If you have a relative or friend that will let you place your name on his or her account as an authorized user of said account this will boost your credit rating.
Now keep in mind that if the person you are asking for this type of help has poor credit, this will not have the desired affect we are looking for.
You don't want to go overboard on this either. Just one or two accounts will do.
This next tip can be a dangerous avenue of repair if you as the borrower are not responsible enough to not spend if this possibility comes your way.
Asking already in place credit lenders to extend your loan amounts can increase your points.
If you are at a $300 cap you may ask for the lender to extend you to $500 and so on. The problem with this solution is that if, like I said, are not responsible enough not to max that limit out this idea can hurt you more in the end.
Borrowing the money and not using it is the idea here.
Looking at your credit records can be a place to go and begin repair as well.
There may be some items that are not legitimate. There may be some items that are so far in your past that they can technically be removed as well.
If you can get items removed from your credit history files this will also help your rating.
Whatever method of help you seek, one thing is sure, ignoring bad credit that is in need of repair will not help any situation.
Until next time. Take Care!!
