Home Water Filter System - Get Pure Water on Tap and Save a Bundle

Want to make sure your family gets pure water all the time and save money in the bargain? Getting a home water filter system is the way to help you achieve both those aims. Water filters ensure the water you use for drinking and cooking is pure and you don't need to spend money on bottled water anymore. Who could ask for more?

You may suspect that the water coming into your home is not as pure as you'd like. Or perhaps you just don't like the lingering smell of chlorine and other chemicals.

The fact is that though your water authority treats your water before sending it to your home, factors such as the condition of the pipes can mean that it leaves much to be desired when it comes out of your taps.

For one thing the pipes can be rusty or contain sediment, or other impurities all of which can contaminate your water.

Another danger is that various impurities such as pesticides or other pollutants can find their way into the water supply via damaged pipes.

Common drinking water contaminants include chlorine, fluoride, microbes, and inorganic contaminants such as chromium, copper, and mercury

All these things mean that the water you use for drinking and cooking might be suspect.

Fortunately, there's a simple solution in the form of a home water filter. Water filters come in many forms and work to remove impurities including bacteria, waterborne pathogens, and metals such as lead to mention just a few.

The king is the whole house water filter. This filters your water at the point of entry into your home so even your shower water is pure. You might want to invest in one of these systems if you live in a hard water area. Bear in mind that are the most expensive systems you can get.

If you just want to purify your drinking or cooking water, you can get water filter systems that treat your water before it reaches your faucet. These are known as under sink filters.

Then again, you may want to filter your drinking water. One neat option is to use a filter that installs in your fridge to produce a supply of cool drinking water on tap.

Whatever type of filter you choose, you'll save money in the long run. Home water filter systems are relatively inexpensive and after installation, it's just a matter of replacing the filter every so often.

Filters are rated at a certain capacity in gallons. So a 750 gallon filter would last two years if a gallon a day was used. For just drinking water, a gallon a day is plenty for the average household.

With a typical replacement filter costing around $30, you can appreciate how cost effective this is compared to buying bottled water from the store.

And with your own filter system, the water's always on tap. No need to waste time going to the store and lugging back heavy crates or bottles. Getting your own home water filter system is one of the smartest things you can do for both your health and you wallet.
