Nowhere in the records of the age can any reference be found of his birth, life or death outside of what the Roman Catholic Church put up. The New Testament was compiled and partly written by Jerome after Constantine brought the religion into being in 325AD at the Council of Nicaea. Through clever manipulation, forgeries and removal of anything that declared otherwise the organization of Constantine engaged in a conspiracy that is prophesied as being in opposition to God.
The facts are that the only identity close to it was Krishna, the third person of the Vedic Trinity. Knowledge of this one and the religion it created was brought back from the East by Greek philosophers who traveled widely in that region.
He was whisked off to Egypt when an angel told his parents of the danger from King Cansa who killed boys under 2 in an effort to rid his kingdom of him. Krishna returned to India at age 12 and his first miracle was turning water to wine.
Plato used the word 'Christian' in the 3rd to 4th Centuries before Caesar (BC) and a long time before Christ appeared on the scene. Jerome was a devoted follower of his works and adopted his suggestion that man has a soul that can be read by God after death to determine one's good or evil deeds.
A virgin birth is impossible as most educated people know. Genes from both parents are required for conception and 'spirit' has no genes. The Church gets around this by stating that everything is possible with God. That may be so but the Spirit does not support the claims of the New Testament.
Prophecies in the Old Testament are to help the real people of God keep their link to the Spirit and they have power to bring people to them. Messages like this one are in complete contradiction to the Trinity God of the NT.
"I am God and beside me there is no one else. I form the light and create darkness; I make peace and create evil; I God do all these things." Isaiah 45:4 -8.
The New Testament makes out that God is a Trinity in complete opposition to this statement. The authors had no concept of spirituality and their intention was to give people a romantic story they could associate with. They did it with a baby Jesus born under tough circumstances and pursued by an evil king who was threatened by another 'king' born in his realm.
That's exactly the story associated with Krishna. Constantine was also threatened as the 'son of god' that he claimed to be. He could not abide the thought that another 'god' would be worshiped over him. His creation of the false Jesus Christ and the violence associated with forcing people to worship it was his way of giving them something that was of no threat to his power.
"And (he) deceived them ... by the means of those miracles which he had power to do ... saying ... that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by the sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast that ... (it)... should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image ... should be killed." Revelation 13:14,15
Edicts survive that bear orders from Constantine to this effect. He built the Vatican and claimed that God spoke through the parliament of bishops who must be obeyed.
The aim was to get all people into the one religious order for power and control over them. The Romans used whatever worked to make them conform. Jesus Christ was the carrot before them and heaven and hell are the weapons used to keep the church intact. The idea of gaining everything after death is irresistible to some while the threat of eternal damnation and burning is enough to keep them inline.
Far from being a historical figure the image that Constantine put up is nothing but a lie and the delusion that is spoken of, even in the New Testament.
"God shall send them strong delusion that they shall believe a lie. That they all might be damned who have pleasure in unrighteousness." 11 Thessalonians 2:11
