Motivational Tool for The Playing Team

Everyone is aware of the cheer leaders. As their name indicates, cheer leaders are in the game for cheering the team that they have school with. These cheerleaders wear a very pretty uniform in accordance with their school or college team. They also carry certain frizzy cheering objects known as the pom poms. A cheer leader is not complete without her pom poms. Cheer leader pom poms are made with expertise and made for the purpose of shaking and screaming along with it. Cheer leader pom poms are as important for the cheer leaders as the football or basketball is for the playing team. The whole spirit of the cheer leader is shown by how much or how enthusiastically she waves and shakes her pom poms.

Cheer leader pom poms are made from different materials. One material commonly used is the crepe paper which is like a very thin tissue paper but more like paper in terms of texture. Many crepe papers are put together overlapping on each other. Further, thin strip of the crepe papers is cut, but not till the end. Just enough space is provided for the hand to grab the pom poms. When there are hundreds of strips of the crepe papers, they are scattered and their ends are joined together with tape or thread. This is all what pom poms requires. Just a pair of scissors, tape, thread, crepe papers and that's it.

The cheer leader pom poms can be made in different colors. In most of the teams, they are either contrasted with the uniform color of the cheer leaders or they are made in combination to their uniforms. For example, if the uniforms are entirely of royal blue color with borders of yellow then yellow is selected for the color of the pom poms.

Pom poms are just objects to show appreciation and enthusiasm for the game that's about to be played. Although in most of the high schools and colleges they are made simply using only one color, some of the high schools might even prefer having pom poms made from different materials or even different colors of crepe papers. Some cheer leader might include all the glitter and shining materials that would make their pom poms more prominent. Otherwise, in most cases, simple is always better.

A lot of team cheers without the use of pom poms. That kind of an enthusiasm and appreciation is just not the same as that with pom poms. Empty hands do not give a good impression unless the cheer leaders want to perform certain gymnastic routines. Otherwise, the cheer leader carrying pom poms always look better than those not carrying them. The shaking of the colored crepe paper that can be seen from far off due to its bright color looks amazing when a number of pretty girls are waving and shaking it. Plus, they cannot have a cheering routine with the object of cheering. Further, the pom poms just give a complete look to the cheer leaders and make them stand out as the crowd sitting on the benches always has some other cheering objects as well.
