New Era New Technology

Following the success of Tangled, Walt Disney Pictures has announced a new 3D computer animated musical fantasy film FROZEN produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, based on HANS CHRISTAN ANDERSEN's fairy tale The Snow Queen. It will be the 53rd animated feature by Walt Disney Animation Studios, directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, screenplay by Jennifer Lee and voices of Kristen Bell as Anna Idina Menzel as Elsa the snow queen and Jonathan Groff as Kristoff the mountain man. The story of the film starting as Anna teams up with a mountain man Kristoff and his reindeer companion Sven to find the Snow Queen Elsa who has accidently cursed the Arendelle kingdom to suffer.

At the beginning, there is confusion about the film that if it would be a hand drawn movie or 3D CG animated feature. But now Disney has confirmed that Frozen will not be hand drawn movie it will be a 3D CG animated feature. Disney always tries to make better than before. According to this principle Disney team will bring a new look and creation through this film. The seminar called "The Best of Both Worlds" where Glen Keane with 50 Disney CGI artists and traditional artists focused on pros and cons of each style of the film tangled as well as they also no focus on this film. Due to some limitations in computer technology many basic principles of animations are absent in CGI films. But now the advancement of technology it becomes easier to blend the two combining the strengths of each style. Disney team has done it before so that it will be used in this film accordingly. Making the computer as "pliable as the pencil" it will be seemed "three dimensional drawing" within reach with the controlling the technology.

Many of techniques and tools are required to give a film a good quality and Disney Animation Studios has done it successfully. There is a main goal of the animators that they try to create a movement that mimicked the soft fluidity of the hand drawn art which is found in the older film of the Disney. But following the successful installment of tangled Disney team has now done this movement by combining CGI with the traditional hand drawn style. Particularly in CGI technology animating hair tuned out to be a challenge for animators. Kelly Ward, senior software engineer spent six years to make a program to move it and in 2010 in tangled film he did it successfully so that it will be used in this film for the Snow Queen.

To make the film look like realistic the 3D team used an aesthetic approach. Now they use a technique called multi rigging made up by multiple pairs of visual cameras. Through this technique each pair is used individually on each separate element which adds depth to scene like background, foreground and characters without adjusting the relation with the other pairs. While sandwiching together it create an appealing look to the movie which is visually impossible in the real world. Through this film Disney team will create a new era of animation in the animated world which will bring them a great success.

It will be a great pleasure for the animation movie lovers. Besides, now everyone enjoys watching 3D animated movies like this movie. It will give them refreshment and adventure. Most of the leading render farm will give a big hand to make this movie.
