You can simply never have enough when it comes to what church outreach ideas to work with. Nearly all consider online church promotion by way of a website, where they can foster interaction, not only among themselves, but more importantly with outsiders who wish to obtain an awareness as to the whats and hows of the Christian faith. It's doubtlessly a downright idea, seeing that the number of Internet users in your district alone constitute the majority of the population, in the first place. To be able to reach out to the community, however, off line or customary man-to-man or group interactions and fellowships are still the finest things to do. Here are three, somewhat customary yet modern at the same time, ideas to bear in mind:
1. Babysitting - You're possibly wondering why this was included as one of the most relevant ideas for church outreach momentarily. Offer parents a day off to themselves by volunteering to watch over their kids for a day. It's merely a small labor of love, but the parents would be appreciative each time they remember what you did for them. Plus, the children would never forget how someone cared enough to share the truth of the gospel with them that led to the most significant decision they ever made in their lives. You can furthermore make it fun for them, so that not only mom and dad get a happy day for themselves, but the children, as well.
2. Kids Day in the Park - All communities have public parks. It's about time you use it as one of your outreach venues. Children love fun and games, and so why not develop a kids day at the park with treats, balloons, candies, and of course games. Use it as a way to tell children about the gospel and give them a head start on how it is to be acquainted with and have Jesus in their lives. Show parents that you care for their children and soon enough, they would be encouraged to join in your other associated ministries. The children's ministry is typically a downright foundation in reaching out to families, so plan and focus a good amount of time in that department.
3. Penny Hunt - This one's for the young people. It works much like scavenger's hunt with a twist. Team two people up amongst your youth members and offer each team a penny. Then send them out to the community and do the penny hunt. The goal is to go to houses and trade the penny for whatever that is bigger in size or in quality (except monetarily). The team with the biggest object wins. This enables your young people to establish rapport and comradeship with each other. Plus, it permits the community to see what form of church you are. Be sure to leave invitations to come to church with every single house that you visit.
These are only three of the countless other things you can come up with when it relates to ministering to your neighborhood. Do what you can and always give your best for the ministry. Above all, preserve your testimonies. Your lives are the most excellent testimonies you can offer. Your words, second. Show them your faith, that even in the absence of words, you touch others with your life and inspire them to come closer to the source of all grace.
