The culture tubes need to be brushed and cleansed with detergent and then rinsed with water once this is completed. They can just be cleaned with autoclaving if a tube is filled with medium. For cleaning test tubes they need to be cleansed with a cleaning solution and placed into a wire basket. It should be heated up for about 15 minutes in an autoclave after this is done. Once this is finished, they have to be rinsed with distilled water and later drained.
