Valentine's Day Can Be Everyday

     Copyright (c) 2015 Eli Gali

When you think about it Valentine's Day can be sad. First of all there are hundreds of single people out there who feel left out. Then there are the couples whose spouses use the Valentine's 'excuse' to show a little affection. Single people are loved just as much as marrieds, and marrieds do not need the excuse of one particular day to show they care. It is time to take a day here and there to appreciate yourself and/or your spouse. You can set a tradition of your special day eating at your favorite prime steakhouse.

You know you really do not need a 'reason' to enjoy an evening at a fine dining restaurant. You work hard during the week, you take care of all your responsibilities, you put up with grouchy bosses and customers, and you even have to walk to the end of your driveway to get the morning paper - rain or shine. You deserve a prime steak every now and then. They say you are what you eat - and you are a prime human being.

If you select the right prime steakhouse you can go once a week and never have the same meal. Naturally you have your favorite, but you could have something different if you wanted to. Plus the menu is so extensive that you can ask any friend to join you and they will always find a selection that they like.

Prime steaks come is every shape and size and any one of them would please you. Your favorite is a large filet mignon. You can close your eyes and almost imagine the softness melting in your mouth. It is seasoned to perfection and done just the way you prefer. You would hate to admit it to anyone, but you could have this filet for dinner every day of the week and never tire of it. When you are playing favorites you have a Caesar salad, big baked potato and usually a side of spinach au gratin. Plus you add one glass of their great house red.

The last time you ate at this fine dining restaurant you invited a friend who is not quite the carnivore you are. That was fine because they ordered the Alaskan King Crab Legs and enjoyed them immensely. Your friend had a hardy appetite and ordered escargot as an appetizer and sliced tomato and onion salad. To go with the crab they had roast garlic mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus. They had a glass of the house white and said it was delightful.

You remember that another friend enjoyed the rack of lamb. You pretty much stay with your prime steak. This friend chose a cup of French onion soup and a Caesar salad. He was the first person you ever ate with that ordered two vegetables instead of one potato and one veggie. He chose jalapeno mac and cheese. You had a fork full and discovered you would order it next time. He completed his meal with green beans.

You do not have to wait for a special occasion to visit your favorite prime steakhouse. Just being you is occasion enough.
