Writing an article seems easy, it comes naturally. I have enjoyed writing for a long time, and started feeling like I was doing a good job, sometimes even a great job.
I started writing articles for a blog, but instead of sticking to one blog and I now have 3 blogs. They have a lot in common, even though they are on different subjects. The excitement is there, but the writing is lacking the invitation to read more. When the words hit the paper, they go splat!
I started writing articles a few weeks ago, full of doubts and fears. My experience has been good. I have learned so much. The editor in the article box has pointed out so many errors that I never knew I was making. Thank you for putting such a great editor in the article body.
This article represents my opinion and experience. I know that I am working hard, harder than I ever thought I would. I am doing research, which I truly enjoy. It amazes me when I start out with an article in the 800-900 word range and then after editing it over and over I end up with only 400-500 words and don't miss the other words. I realized that I was being redundant.
I lack the self-confidence to submit a lot of the articles that I write in fear of rejection I am working on that issue in this article now. I will learn from rejection and not run away. I have successfully had 10 articles pass the review process. Two articles sent back for editing. After editing they were both accepted I had the courage to accept the critique and resubmit; for me that is a great triumph.
Though my trials are many: lack of experience, average writing skills, fear, and a touch of laziness. I have triumphed because I had the courage to start, to accept the critique, and the fact that I am here writing another article is a fantastic feeling. In time, and after many more articles I will be a better writer, thanks to this platform.
My advice to others who feel like I did at first is to continue writing and writing. My thanks go out to all the great accomplished writers who share heir articles because I get to read them and learn.
My dad always told me that any day that I learned something new is a great day. Great days are here to stay.
