  • Eponimical lexical items as the object of Russian translation.
    It is sometimes claimed that in the text of the Russian translation the proper names in most cases are not translated but transliterated. It might even be seen in reality. Still, there are some proper namesthat seem to violate this rule of thumb. You may come across a number of expressions which are partly a kind of proper names and partially a kind of regular words.
