  • Why Do So Many Online Marketers Fail?
99 out of 100 online marketers fail at making much, if any, money online. Why won't they just follow this simple plan?
  • Discover Your Online Niche
I think without a doubt that choosing the right niche is the most important step an Internet marketer can take. If you get this step wrong, nothing else you do will matter. You can have the best-looking web site, you can understand search engine optimization very well, you can do a very good job in all of the areas of Internet marketing; but if you choose the wrong niche, then you are sunk before you start.

You could create a stylish web site, and I see it all the time where people spend hours creating a web site and getting it to look great, and spend an ample amount of time writing content. They know all about search engine optimization. They find key words and they optimize for the key words. Everything is done correctly. They publish to the web, and one of the hardest things I have to do when they ask me why they don't get traffic, is to tell them that they chose the wrong niche.

For one reason or another, the niche was not correct. If you get the wrong niche, like choose too large of a niche for example, then the competition is so great that it's all but impossible to get any traffic to the web site. Of course, traffic is one of the key principles to Internet marketing. Low traffic means there will be few if any sales. If you choose a niche that is too small of a market, you may be able to attract traffic and you may be able to rank well in the search engine, but the market is incredibly small that it wouldn't yield much of an income.

Before you do anything for your web site or your web business, prior to spending one minute writing content or building a web site, make sure that you understand how to do niche research. That's not about going out and looking at the keyword tools, whether you look at the three keyword tools or the purchased key word tool, you simply cannot rely on those alone.

Too many marketers, and myself included, have made that mistake of using the keyword tools to direct us on the web site that we create and the keywords that we use to optimize the content with. That is a huge mistake.

The keyword tools are great for brainstorming, but you must go the extra mile and do the real keyword research methods to determine which keywords are valid for your niche. Doing the research will also tell you if the niche poses great possibility or the niche is a bad idea, and we want to know that before we go into building the web site. There are no guarantees, of course, but we can sure make a very educated guess as to our chances of success.

If you just pick a niche out of the blue and use the free keyword tool to validate your idea, it's a lot like playing darts in the dark. You simply cannot base your web site or your business on the free keyword tools. You must perform extra steps to validate that the niche you selected is correct and viable.
  • Build a Home Internet Business: Where to Begin
One of my favorite phrases I like to remind beginning online marketers is "Relentless Focused Action." The phrase is self-explanatory for how to achieve success online. I have had many new clients who come to me saying they are "studying" Internet marketing before they begin. Often they have been "studying" for many months.

It is OK to study. Nothing is wrong with that; I do it all the time myself. However, in a short amount of time, once the beginner has a bit of knowledge under his or her belt, it is time to take action! Eight hours of time in the trenches actions doing the work instead of studying are worth far more than 2 weeks spent just thinking and planning.

I can't emphasize enough how important taking action is! Not only is action the only way to reach success, it is the best way to learn! Reading about something is fine, but doing is the real teacher. For example, I took a LOT of education classes in college which were supposed to teach me how to teach. But in reality, I learned more about teaching in the first week on the job than all the classes I took put together. This is usually true for almost every occupation.

Likewise, all the newsletters, tutorials, and videos you watch are worth far less than the time you spend in taking action. Sure, the action could be in the wrong direction. But it is always an important learning experience. Remember that changing direction while moving is far easier than changing direction when standing still.

Another problem many beginners have is that, although they understand action is important, they underestimate how much action is required. For example, article marketing is a tried and proven method for building back links and driving traffic. A beginner may understand this and then begin writing 3 or 4 articles a month. In reality, this will do little good. Those who are successful with article marketing generate that many articles per day...not per month.

The same goes for any area of marketing; focused and massive action will work! Hit and miss marketing is a waste of time.

  • Avoid Internet Marketing Scams
I hope that as you read this, you have not yet fallen for one of the online scams or mistakes Internet marketers often make! Most scams target beginners who are finding ways to make huge sums of money by tomorrow.

Does the offer promise things that sound too good to be true? If the offer promises you to make hundreds and thousands of dollars per day for a couple of hours of work, well your personal alarms should tell you, it is too good to be true. There are no shortcuts to the basics. If they offer you such, you should know that they are just too good to be true.

Data Entry and Type at Home - These are the really big ones! Why can't I get people to pay me $49.99 as easy as these sites do? Well, because, I do not play on the "get rich quick" emotions. If you think someone will pay you good money just to fill out forms, I would like to sell you my house overlooking the ocean here in Oklahoma.

eMail Blasts - These sound great and easy. For $39.99 you can send e-mails to 2.5 million people. I choose not to go into details here, but trust me when I say these are a complete waste of time and money. Instead, create your own list.

Get Your Site on Page One of Google - Guaranteed, for only $89.99! Sounds great right? Yes, it does, until your discover that you do not choose your keywords, as they use their choice of keywords related to your niche. They optimize your page for a very long-tail keyword.

?For example, if your site sells leather dog collars, they will optimize your page for something like "buy cheap leather dog collars". Yes, you will get on the first page for that term, but the problem is: How many people do you think actually search for that term in Google? If you can find an approximate answer for that, you will understand why it's a scam. If you do not know how many people search for that term, you must learn how to perform keyword research, and learn more about ranking well with SEO in correct ways!

    Instant Site Creation Packages -

If you do not know how to create your own website, don't think paying $49.99 will help you become successful with that. The bottom line is: if you do not even know how to create a simple site, then you most probably will not attain success in the field of Internet marketing. Stop trying to find shortcuts. If you want to succeed in the Internet, then you must know how to make a website. It is plain and simple. If somebody offers you an offer promising success even if you know absolutely nothing about creating sites, you might get results that were far different form what you paid for or expected.

Link Farming - This one might be one of the worst online scams! They offer to get you thousands of incoming links, but doing this will get you labeled as a spammer in Google's eyes. Avoid these offers totally. Otherwise, your site might get banned from Google.

Free Classified Sites - These are more of time wasters than actual scams. Many people have told me that they spent weeks submitting hundreds of free ads, yet they get no affiliate sales. Where do you go when looking to purchase something? Think about it. Have you ever even browsed those free classified sites for anything?

Free Hosting -Again, these aren't scams; they just aren't very good ideas. Many free hosting packages put their ads on your site. These free hosts often put server limitations on what may be done with respect to the code of your site. You can get real web hosting for as little as three or four dollars, monthly. If you aren't even willing to invest that much for your business, then you might want to ask yourself if you are really committed to it or not.
  • Is Internet Marketing Right For You?
    Low Risk - High Reward!

Have you ever experienced having your brick and mortar business fail? I have, and it was not a pleasant experience, to say the least. The losses it brought me were painful and they were a huge factor for me to decide that I was going to start online marketing. The internet offers the most attractive risk versus reward equation you could ever find.

To make my point clearer, take a look at this:

We began CactusCanyon.com for only $3.95 for a monthly hosting package, and $9.95 for a yearly domain name. $200 was the wholesale price for the first case of products we bought, and we had made our first sale within a few weeks after this new website. We only purchased one case at a time for the following weeks. I was determined not to over extend my self, my assets and my business as I had done before with my brick and mortar business. Soon we were able to buy 2 cases at a time, and the number slowly kept growing, and growing, and growing.

My marketing was 99% SEO, so there were virtually no marketing costs. Google loved the site, and we, in turn, loved Google. We have also managed to learn a lot in a short period of time about credit cards, shopping carts, shipping, and many other necessary know-how. It definitely was, and still is, a fun ride. After two years of running the business in the evenings, and on weekends, my wife decided to quit her job. The next year, I quit mine and we started Weber Internet Marketing.

If you have a better risk vs. reward example, let me know. I am currently having the time of my life and would love to have you on board.

    How Big Is Your Dream?

In my line of work, I have dealt with a lot of new internet marketers who have not yet succeeded in making money online. These people are my target audience and I have learned much about them, through experience, throughout the years. I have also seen many beginners progress and become successful online.

Unfortunately, there are a larger percentage of novice internet marketers that do not succeed; and blame their failures on a lot of different things.

Excuses I have heard from beginners:

    They didn't have enough brains.
    They didn't have ample time.
Their partners and spouses did not support them.
They couldn't afford a web editor or hosting.
The niche they chose was wrong.
Their computer is not fast enough.
    No one would support them.
They started Internet marketing too late.
Their country does not support PayPal
...and even their stars were not aligned correctly!

Yes, I have heard it all.

But those are plain excuses, and I have always believed that people who are full of excuses lack a big enough dream. No matter what you are getting yourself in to, you need to have a big enough dream to beat down every excuse you have.

If your dream is big enough, every single excuse just disappears. The dream needs to be so huge that you feel it; you taste it; and you live it everyday. People who succeed always have their dreams on their minds. However, it is easy to get overwhelmed by the size of your dream, and all there is to learn and know about the venture of your choice. And that is where I can help.

Internet marketing is not paint-by-numbers, however, much like connecting-the dots, it requires you to combine certain skills, principles and knowledge to create a profitable business. I still remember the difficulty I had, trying to go through this process, when I was still starting out with internet marketing. But, all you need right now is for someone to show you a clear path.

If I had only been able to ask somebody who was experienced and learned about internet marketing, when I was starting out in this field, I would have eliminated a lot of dead-ends I eventually hit. With my business, I combine my passion for online marketing and my love for teaching others. My goal is for you, novice internet marketers, to enjoy and achieve the level of success I have managed to.
  • Build a Home Internet Business and Escape the Stressful Rat Race
My Monday mornings used to be spent getting up and going off to work. I used to wonder if it was even possible for me to get out of that kind of routinely situation. I even started thinking that it was my destiny to be doing that. After all, how would the world function if everybody just stayed at home and worked from their computers?

However, like many others, I always had a restless feeling that I was not doing what I was sent out to do; that I wasn't performing my purpose in life. I had taken many different jobs, but none of them made me feel like I was doing what I was supposed to.

Of course, I tried a lot of ways to get out of those types of jobs, but the same thing would happen, and before I knew it, I was back to getting up every Monday morning to head off to work.

However, I never let go of my dream of doing something on my own; of working for myself, instead of someone else. And somehow, I knew that was always a better idea.

I think people who have lost that dream may still be made to to work for someone else, but for those people who still hold on to that dream, that may not be the case. The good thing is, dreaming and truly believing that you will live the life you choose for yourself is already 90% of the battle.

So dream deeper; think of how it will make you feel when you could finally get up on Monday mornings to work for your own projects, instead of someone else's. Dream deeper and believe it with all that you have. Believe it until you could almost taste it, and then all that is required is for you to take action.

    What Is Holding You Back?

If you have ever wondered why you, and many others like you, are still stuck in a job that they do not really enjoy, while secretly wishing to lead a totally different life; well, I have come to realize that the answer is, more often than not, fear.

There are a lot of things to be afraid of. The fear of the unknown, of not making any money, of not making enough money, of what might happen, of what might not happen, of getting insurance, of losing a retirement plan, and the list goes on.

But imagine if we lived to follow our hearts, instead of letting our fears get the best of us. I know fear very well; it often leads to a dead end road. Fear kept me stressed for years in the high speed rat race. And most of us get stuck in that rat race. And so we realize one day that we have fallen into a trap, and remain stuck in a miserable life. Some people actually think that we are not even supposed to like our jobs; that it is normal to be doing something without passion. Maybe it is, but this is such a sad thought.

But then again, it is too easy to let all the years pass. It is easy to just say "Maybe next month, or next year"; but we all know life is short.

Of course, there are no guarantees, which is what has gotten you all worried in the first place, but once you have freed yourself of your loathed daily routine, your creative side will shine and ensure your success.

You must believe tin yourself a hundred percent, and if even that is a problem, maybe you have to start there. Correct your way of thinking! Every single one of us has ten times the potential when we are on our own, as compared to when we are stuck in some office cubicle. You must find out what the reason behind your lack of self-belief is. If other people are willing to pay you to help them make money, then why can't you be just as valuable when applying that work for yourself? Focus on your dreams, but take action, and then actually live your dreams!

    Finding Your "Groove"

If you have a full time job and you have trouble getting things going for you, do not beat yourself up; that is truly one tough task. Eventually, you will have to find time to free up space for your creativity to shine. As in most ventures, Internet marketing, creative time is very important.

When things start to overwhelm you and you just feel like you are beating your head against a rock wall, take a breather. Take your mind outside and take a short walk, instead of working in front of the keyboard 24/7.

Your success cannot and must not be forced. Things will fall into place once you have started growing from inside. Hard work alone cannot produce success. And when you have finally gotten your groove, things won't even seem like work anymore.

    Finding Your Groove Part II

As most of you may already know, I do not only help novice Internet marketers, I also help Internet marketers that are on the brink of success. I help those who are so close to succeeding that they can almost taste it.

Sometimes this may get really frustrating. Knowing that success is very close, and all you have is not enough to speed up the process. Somehow you feel like all your efforts are not working, and that success is too close, but still very far.

If you find yourself feeling like you are constantly trying to move mountains just to attain some level of success, than you are probably working against your own goal.

Internet marketing is all about taking basic skills and making them work with your personality, and how you do this, determines your success. When you find the perfect fit, however, things will start falling into place, and things will flow more easily.

Think about it. Somehow, you can feel if what you are doing is a good fit for you. Many people have good ideas and plans and sufficient knowledge, but their chosen method is not in harmony with their real selves. Once you have found something that fits you to a tee, things will become easier and success will be yours!

Do not try to imitate how any body else approaches their Internet marketing methods. Instead, try to find your own winning formula, because only when you find the exact connection between you and your marketing methods, will you become successful.

    My Idea of "Job Security"

My wife and I often went to a Chinese restaurant which was quite popular. One day, we noticed that a new Chinese restaurant was being built right next door! This surely caused the owner of our favorite Chinese restaurant to get anxious and suffer for sleepless nights. While i was eating there, I realized that it is much safer to be in internet marketing than owning your own family restaurant.

Now, what if the Chinese restaurant owner had to close and re-tool his life? What will be the costs and risks involved in that? W definitely do not want to go through all of that. On the other hand, what if my website would go down the drain for some reason? That won't be such a huge deal, i will just have to revamp and ramp up my other sites or start anew. Anyone who possesses sufficient marketing skills not only rests better at night, but wakes up to many opportunities!

    Leaving the Rat Race

It's a great morning! I'm watching the rain outside the window and can almost here all the plants and trees say, "aahhh!"

I'm glad i can stay home to enjoy this. I spent many mornings getting up to work all day, and on each of those mornings, I had wished that I could stay home and work here. But, here I am, and I had always known this day would come. My Mother always told me I could have anything that I wanted if I dreamed and worked enough. And I guess now I could say, she was absolutely right.

Before I stopped working for someone else, I didn't realize how stressful it had been for me. The stress didn't stop at wok, it had extended on the hours after work, when I knew that I would have to get up early tomorrow and do the same things all over again. Work-related stress had even extended to my weekends, especially during Sunday nights where waking up and going off to work on the next Monday mornings was closer.

Nowadays, I am aware how much stress has been lifted from me. I realized that the long stressful hours I used to put it working for someone else was not at the same level of the way it improved my life. But I know now that life does not have to be that hard.

I have realized that when you focus on smaller amounts of time and work hard on your own projects, you can enjoy a better life as compared with a life spent working 40 to 50 hours a week for someone else. And that is the best part of life online!

A Day In An Internet Marketer's Life

It is eight in the evening, Wednesday, as I am writing this in Southard. And as I am thinking back on the days, it dawned on me how different this day was compared to how it would have been when I was still stuck in my full-time job.

    Here is how today went:

I got up at around seven in the morning and began working on AdWords. I created a campaign with a squeeze page for a new product which took me about three hours.

I took a break by ten and went to our garage, which we had converted into a studio. I worked on some clay pots I made yesterday.

By half past ten, I was back on the computer until noon. I randomly tweeted while I was on the computer. My wife and I then ate sandwiches and then went for a walk with our dogs.

At around one in the afternoon, I went to get my haircut, after which, I took the day's shipping to the post office.

I got back home by two and caught up with my forum and emails. I then checked to see if my new AdWords campaign stats were already showing up.

Around three in the afternoon, I saw my wife outside raking leaves, and I somehow felt guilty because we had huge amounts of leaves to rake. I decided to go out and help her and then fired up our new kiln for the first time.

We came in at around six and I started heating up leftovers for supper, after I decided to catch up on my forums and emails. By seven, we were watching American Idol we had Tivoed the night before. Before dark we went outside with the dogs to hunt for squirrels.

We came back in and we are sitting in our recliners right now. I have some writing to do so I will probably be up for a little while. I might sleep at around ten thirty, like I usually do, or stay up until midnight if I really feel like writing.

This was a pretty typical day; definitely easier than my days spent working for another person. I am glad to know that all the hard work and exhaustion I had given when starting out this business paid off. My wife and I are living our dream, every day, in this 20 acre property.

Better Late Than Never To Begin Living Your Dream!

It is a lazy Sunday afternoon here in Oklahoma woods. I know many of you enjoy watching football games while trying to avoid thinking of the stressful day tomorrow.

If you dread Mondays, keep reading!

One year of hard work and two years of VERY hard work is what got me out of the maze I was living in. Looking back, I realize how much I was truly giving up just to receive a monthly pay check. The ins and outs of corporate life made me feel like caged bide; in a sense, it took away my innate creativity. Nowadays, I feel like a freed bird, like I have complete control over my destiny.

Whether my wife and I live from paycheck to paycheck, whether we are well off, of filthy rich; that is completely under my control. I do not have to worry about my losing my job, getting promoted or receiving a raise, I decide what happens in my life

I remember how terrified I was at losing my monthly security blanket. The first month was the toughest, but by the second month I could feel a new energy taking over me. By the time the third month ended, I was rolling with energy and focus!

I know it sounds cheesy, but allowing my self to find and use my full potential was the best thing that had happened to me. I only regret not getting on track sooner!

Your Dream: Will It Be Coffee Or A Website?

Someone told me that they could not afford to do internet marketing and that $3.95 for monthly hosting and $9.95 a year for a domain name was too much money for them/

I understand things can be tight, but I am sure most of us spend that much money on our vices!

The money you spend for soft drinks or gourmet coffee just might as easily be your investment for starting a new career and finally leaving your corporate rat race!

In internet marketing, as I have told you before, there is almost no risk, almost no investment required, and the potential is nearly unlimited. No other business may compare with the possible return internet marketing offers! So break that caffeine habit and get yourself a website!

    Give Your Dream Time

Most Internet marketing beginners have the common trait of being impatient. Joe Newbie has an idea he thinks will make him a million. He plans it out, works hard for a month implanting it, then checks his PayPal account and finds nothing. Not one single sale. The day after, his account is still empty, and the next week, it has remained the same.

Joe starts getting discouraged, he waits again for another two weeks. Still zero sales.

Here is how it could have worked.

Joe had a great idea; he put a month's worth of work into it. However, his idea needed three months of work to get started. Unfortunately, Joe would never know; he got frustrated and quit.

I am not saying that all good ideas require three months, but you must realize that if an idea does not produce results, it either needs more work put into it, or it was a bad idea.

It is up to you to know the difference; trial and error will be your guide. Continue working on an idea or drop it and go to the next. One of these routes will lead to your success!

You know where the third options leads. Quitters never win.
  • Paychecks And The Rat Race - Are Looking at This Wrong?
I recently met an old friend who was still in the same "rat race" that I was in before. I recognized in her all the symptoms that I used to have back when I was in the same situation. She was obviously burned out. In retrospect, I realize the biggest fear that I had of leaving the "perceived" security of a monthly salary was actually promoted by the monthly salary itself.

I was boxed into my life by its exact dollar amount because of my monthly paycheck. I knew that paycheck was all I could receive; it was what all my time was worth. So I gauged my monthly expenses as pieces of what I was worth. And then realized that the thing I was so scared of losing was the exact same thing that was the biggest con of the rat race itself.

Only people who have actually taken the leap can fully grasp this concept.

When your worth is measured by the monthly paycheck someone gives you, it is very hard to see your full potential. You cannot help but equate your worth with the monthly paycheck you receive. You lose sight of what you have to offer the world when you measure yourself by your monthly paycheck alone.

Once you are free from "the check", you start seeing how unreliable the measure was with respect to your true worth.

Do not misinterpret me; the vast majority of nurses, teachers, and laborers are happy at what they do, even if they work for the check.

But if you feel like that your true purpose and calling cannot be found in a job that simply offers you "the check", you may not be in your correct place in life.

Listen to that voice and follow what it is you truly want. However, you must know that the life of an entrepreneur is not an easy one; things don't always go as planned. But once you are free from that bond, you may realize your true potential and take full advantage of it. And one day, you will discover that realizing everything you can offer to the world erases all the doubts and limits living for "the check" have created in your mind.

    Avoid These Internet Marketing Traps!

How many of these are working against your success?

    1. "I'm a failure" - Many people do not know how to handle failure. Failing is part of the game. You have to get used to it and take them as learning experiences. Most successful Internet marketers call them "tests", because that is what they do to you.

    2. Too many new Internet marketers get stuck trying one thing. The chances of that one thing to work is pretty small, so you need more than just one thing at a time. This is especially true at the beginning stages when you are still finding what it is you do best.

    3. If you cannot devote enough time to your success in Internet marketing just because your spouse has not yet bought the idea, well, you have to start getting your spouse on your side. You will need him/her.

    4. Take stock of your organizational skills and fix some problem areas, if you find any. You don't want to be wasting time finding lost passwords or trying to remember where you saved something.

    5. A lot of beginners think they can buy their way to success. Unfortunately, this cannot be done. There is no single product out there that will make you successful instantly. There are only products that guide and teach you, but in the end, you have to put all the pieces together.

    6. Internet marketing success will be a very long road for you if you do not know how to create a simple and effective website, or if you do not have enough time to learn the basic skills. Your road to success will be a very long one.

    7. Be careful of well-wisher's advice. Many of you have been told by a friend that getting ranked well in Google costs a lot of money; and many of you believe them because of who they are, and not necessarily of what they know about Internet marketing.

    8. Put a list building strategy in place today! Even if you do not see a way to use a list yet, you eventually will. Don't think building a list is something you will start doing when you have attained success in Internet marketing.

    9. For some reason, many of you refuse to sell anything you own. You only want to sell affiliate products. That is all right, but you may be putting blinders on to huge opportunities around you. Keep your mind open to all possibilities, even if it means selling something of your own

    10. Spending too much, too early in the process (to earn a couple of bucks, here and there) is the top reason for failure. This wastes time that could have been allotted to learning the basic skills and concepts needed to succeed in Internet marketing. Look at the big picture. If you want to become successful a year from now, you will not reach that with profit-today schemes.

Be honest with yourself as you read these again. Recognize what you need to improve. Remember Relentless Focused Action will bring you guaranteed success.
  • 10 Beginning Internet Marketers' Mistakes
Novice internet marketers commit the same mistakes over and over again. I have worked with a lot of them, and I see them committing the same mistakes that I once did when I was starting. I realized that the quicker you learn how to focus and weed out the dead ends, the quicker you will become successful.

    1. There are a myriad of hosting plans available where domains are hosted for not more than ten dollars. Actually, I believe that you should never pay more than six dollars for your hosting. I have even spoken to one beginner who paid $19.95 to host one simple site, when there are a lot of different options and plans available.

    2. Beginners usually put many affiliate links and AdSense ads on their pages. Although, this is respectable, we believe that less truly is more. Do not make your site look like it was made for the sole purpose of acquiring money. Offer interesting, quality content and lesser ads.

    3. If you do not have a website, Goggle AdWords is a good way to promote affiliate products. Google makes it easy to get your campaign running in a few minutes. However, AdWords requires a lot of money and practice to become somewhat successful. Some people have even woken up one day to find that they had a two thousand dollar bill from AdWords. If you do not know how to avoid this happening to you, do not even start thinking of using this.

    4. Original content is key. Novice internet marketers often think that Google can identify whether the content is already found on another sites or from purchased private label rights articles. One must write his/her original content or pay a writer to do it for them. Plug your page's URL into copyscape.com to find out if any of your content is duplicated.

    5. It is very aggravating for someone to take an image from your site and use it on theirs. If you need high quality photos, istockphoto.com is the best place to get any picture you may need for your site for a couple of dollars. For this low price you are given legal rights to use the photos.

    6. Focus. Sometimes, novice internet marketers have too much information at hand, that they do not know where to give their attention to, and they start a dozen different projects all. Do not spread yourself too thin. If you want to succeed, give your projects ample time and attention. Focus your efforts on a few projects you could actually manage.

    7. If you are still beginning, use the free PayPal shopping cart system first, instead of investing your time and effort in a high-end shopping cart system. If you are trying to sell physical items on your site, the PayPal shopping cart is ideal because it does not require you to create a merchant account and setting it up is easy as pie. Once you have started making several sales per day, you may look for a more robust cart. Instead of wasting time on setting up an advanced shopping cart, use it to market the site.

    8. Many beginners give in to the allure of "get rich quick" offers, which, unfortunately, turn out to be scams. Do not spend your money on information products just yet since it is easy for you to fall into some of these scams.

    9. Do not pay to be listed in a lot of different search engines. All you have to do is get in the top 5 search engines. Get some one-way links to your site, if you wanted to get listed fast. Submit to article directories or regular link directories. These methods actually work better than submitting your link directly to Yahoo or Google.

    10. Do not expect to have income straight away. That is near impossible. It will take you several months of dedicated work to receive a steady income.
  • How to Make Online Money
Making money online was a personal goal. I have always wanted to make money online; however, I did not know how to start, where to go, what sites to visit and who to look for. I just knew that I wanted to do something online, and make money out of it, but I could not think of anything concrete.

One day I had an epiphany. I realized that there are a lot of people who have been successful with online transactions and online businesses. I refused to believe that they were luckier than I am, or that they were more skilled or talented, so I decided to find out what the keys to their successes were.

I studied long and hard, purchased eBooks and read everything that was relevant to the topic. Soon after, I decided that I was going to sell a nutritional supplement online. The funny part is that I had been giving this old supplement to my dog for two years. I was trying to figure out how to be successful online, when the answer was right in front of me all along!

It took me a while to understand that I could sell these supplements online, because, like many novice internet marketers, I had very little knowledge about marketing over the web. Ironically, once internet marketers have enough skills and knowledge to understand how internet marketing works, they have too many ideas, thus giving them a difficult time to find their focus.

More importantly, internet marketers must realize that there is rarely a need to reinvent the pre-existing systems in internet marketing. Oftentimes, trying to do which results in disaster. It is better to learn from other successful internet marketers, tweaking and adjusting their proven systems to fit your case, instead of building a brand new system.

One reference that is worth checking out is a book written by 20 members of Willie Crawford's group, Inner Circle Group. This very interesting book features several chapters written by successful internet marketers, describing how they started earning at least a $100 a day.

The book, filled with eye-openers that stimulate idea-generation, is a testament of the many opportunities available to everyone online.

Other than the books I have actually written, this is one of the few I recommend to my clients. I enjoyed it because it wasn't a "how-to" book, it wasn't a guide, but some opportunities were presented. I think, if you could not even find and identify these opportunities, then you probably aren't ready for internet marketing yet.

Moreover, everyone who buys Crawford's book get to join a 100% affiliate program. That means, all buyers may sell the book as an affiliate for a 100% affiliate commission. And the book is not even that tough to sell, the sales page converts very well.
  • Syn-flex for Old Dogs
There is something very peaceful about having old dogs around. We have two dogs right now who are fourteen. Red is a large Irish Setter and Katie is a small mixed breed. Both dogs have arthritis and both take Syn-flex liquid glucosamine to help keep their joints as healthy as possible.

There is no cure for arthritis, but Synflex glucosamine helps the joints stay as lubricated as possible. Red, because he is a large dog, has more problems than Katie who is a small dog. Large dogs simply have more joint issues when they are older because of the extra weight they have to carry.

Our vet said to give them glucosamine instead of some of the other prescription drugs which can be dangerous. We found the liquid form of glucosamine to be very effective. Synflex has a full 1500mg of glucosamine in each dose. Before we found it, we had been using pills. However, it took 3 or 4 pills to equal the same dosage the liquid glucosamine offers. Plus, it was much easier to give them. We simply pour the product over their food at meal time.

Besides giving them the Synflex liquid, we also try to make sure their weight is kept down. It is better for them to be on the "skinny" side than to have to carry any extra weight at all. We also make sure they get plenty of walking exercise. With Katie we have to be careful not to let her get too excited and play too hard. Too often she thinks she is still a puppy and ends up hurting her leg and then limps for a few days.

Also, make sure your old dogs have a warm place to sleep. Cold is very hard on old bodies - whether human or canine. We have dog beds and rugs inside and out that both dogs use to sleep many hours each day. Don't worry about your old dog sleeping a lot; it is normal. I would guess that our old dogs spend 16 to 18 hours a day sleeping.

And one more thing, as your old dog ages, his or her teeth are not as good. The dry food they used to love to chew is now better for them if water is poured over it to soften it. We also buy some "high priced" canned food to mix in with their food too. They really appreciate that!

Keep your old dogs warm, give them a glucosamine supplement like Synflex, insure they get good exercise, keep their weight down, and give them plenty of hugs!

Steve Weber, an avid dog lover, has tips and advice on his website for caring for older dogs and offers more information about using Synflex liquid glucosamine for insuring healthy joints.S
  • Synflex Glucosamine for Dogs Suffering From Arthritis Problems
Imagine a life free from the pains brought by arthritis. If this is hard to imagine right now, you just might need SynFlex. It is a type of liquid glucosamine which answers all the problems caused by osteoarthritis and the inflammation of joints. SynFlex helps ease and relieve these conditions caused by the lack of liquid glucosamine, a naturally occurring substance in the body which decreases as one ages. The decrease of liquid glucosamine in the system may lead to more painful arthritis symptoms.

The decrease of liquid glucosamine may be supplemented with SynFlex, which helps replenish a person's supply of this important ingredient and consequently reduces joint pains and inflammation and starts the repairing and rebuilding of worn out cartilage.

SynFlex is not just for humans, but is also recommended by veterinarians to use for cats, dogs, and other household pets that suffer from osteoarthritis or hip dysplasia.

Synflex takes effect almost immediately after ingesting because it is in liquid form which is more easily absorbed by the body than its tablet or capsule counterparts. SynFlex is also easier to serve to pets. One does not need to resort to tricking one's pet into taking a pill; instead one may simply pour SynFlex over their food. To further mask the strange liquid on their food, beef flavorings, which make SynFlex barely noticeable to dogs, are also available to make the dosing process easier for the pet owner.

With SynFlex's no questions asked money back guarantee, you may rest assured that it will do its job effectively and ease the pain brought by osteoarthritis.

Liquid glucosamine is a type of amino acid naturally found in shells of seashells that are found mainly in Asia. It is the ingredient of cartilages, which, when lacking in the body, will lead your joints to suffer and make you feel extreme pain, until of course, you take SynFlex.

SynFlex does not only have liquid glucosamine, it also boasts of several ingredients that work together to increase the effectiveness of the product in providing quick relief from arthritis. Unlike many prescription drugs that relieve arthritic pain, SynFlex does not cause any harmful side effects because it is made form naturally occurring liquid glucosamine.

Quite importantly, SynFlex also makes it easy and convenient for pet owners to travel with pets that suffer from osteoarthritis because, unlike other products that offer relief from arthritic pain, SynFlex does not require refrigeration.

There is no other product in the market today that can compete with the quality of SynFlex, although many products might seem similar. It has been clinically proven to relieve arthritis and joint pains, and is the top selling liquid glucosamine product today.

A quick search on Yahoo or Google will give you a glimpse at a lot of disturbing stories of pets dying or acquiring serious illnesses because the harmful effects of prescription drugs. Thus, a natural supplement like SynFlex should prove to be a welcome replacement for prescription drugs.
  • Adsense Tips and Tricks
Here is a short summary of just what AdSense is and how it works.

    AdWords and AdSense

First, I want to make sure you understand what AdSense is and how it works. Google AdWords is responsible for nearly 100% of Google's gigantic income and success. AdWords are ads placed by private advertisers which show up on Google's search pages. You see them on Google's search result pages for almost any search you do; they are the ads on the right of the page and sometimes at the top of the search results.

Advertisers sign up for a free AdWord's account and then bid on keywords they hope will drive traffic to their site or to an affiliate site. For example, if you own a site selling dog collars, you might create an ad promoting your custom leather dog collars. You would bid on keywords such as "dog collars", "leather dog collars", "custom dog collars", etc. Generally, the higher your bid for those keywords, the higher your ad placement will be. There is a little more to it than that, but I'll leave it at that since this product is specifically about AdSense.

How does AdSense then fit into the picture? When an AdWords advertiser sets up a new campaign, there is an option called "content network" which is checked by default. If it remains checked, the advertiser's ads will also show up out on the "content network". The content network is your site..and mine...and anyone else's who is signed up for an AdSense account. In other words, AdWords and AdSense are the same thing...the same ads...they just show up in different places. AdWords show up on Google's site and their search partners, but when the same ads show up on private websites, they are called AdSense.

A big part of Google's success results from how easy they make it for anyone to use AdWords and AdSense. With AdWords, this is not a good deal. Beginners often setup an AdWords account to promote affiliate products. If they have no knowledge of the intricacies of AdWords, the beginner will always lose money...always. Lucky for us here, AdSense is very easy to use but has nothing but upside to look forward to!

Once you have the account set up you can logon to your account and generate AdSense code which you will copy and paste onto your site where you want the AdSense ads to appear. The code you generate contains information about what form of ads will be displayed. You may choose between text ads, image ads, link units, etc. You have choices among different sizes of ads. Also, with text ads, you can choose the colors of the text and borders of the ads.

After placing the AdSense code onto your site where you want the ads to show up, they will soon begin appearing after uploading the page. Don't worry if public service ads show up at first or the ads don't match your content; it sometimes takes a few hours.

AdSense: Also Known as Contextual Advertising

Google's code you paste onto your site causes a special Google search bot to visit your page and analyze the content. Google will then insert ads onto your page related to the content of your site. If your site is about gardening, the AdSense ads will be related to gardening. You do not have any choice on the exact ads which are displayed. However, you are able to create a "ban list" of sites you don't want to show up on your pages. This list is limited to 200 sites.

Follow the Rules - Don't Get Banned!

Remember, you must NEVER click on your own AdSense ads! In order for you to see the exact URL's of the AdSense being displayed on your page, download and install the AdSense Preview Tool and read the directions for how to use it. You may find the tool by clicking on "help" within your AdSense account and search for "AdSense Preview Tool". With the tool, you simply need to right mouse button on any ad (within Internet Explorer only) and select the preview tool.

As soon as you sign up for your AdSense account, spend time reading the topics found by clicking the "help" link. I personally know of several people who have had their AdSense accounts terminated because they did not follow the rules! You MUST READ AND FOLLOW THE RULES! Google is very smart; if you get banned, it is not as simple as setting up a new account. It's very difficult to get back into the system once you are kicked out. Don't let this happen to you!

    Less is More

Although you may be tempted to place the maximum number of AdSense units on each of your pages (see my videos for the exact rules), remember that less is more usually with AdSense. In other words you will almost always make more money with only one or maybe two ad groups on a page versus having three or four.

Also, remember that your success with AdSense will depend upon getting your niche site's pages ranking well in the search engines. For this to occur, you must know and use SEO effectively. If you are not familiar with search engine optimization techniques, I highly suggest spending the majority of your time at this point learning SEO.

Is there such a thing as "Free Money" on the Internet?

    No, there is not.

    But here's the deal...

Although our Monthly AdSense Checks may feel like "free money" these days, the cost of those checks was paid for by learning simple page design, SEO (search engine optimization), and how to choose correct niches.

AdSense really is just my hobby. I've only created about a dozen or so small sites specifically for Adsense..and only 1 or 2 in the past year...yet the Google checks that keep coming in month after month pay our home mortgage and more each month...very very cool we think.

If you think making small and very targeted sites might be your thing, check it out.

  • Site Checklist For Good SEO
Here are a few simple checks to make sure your site has the best chance with the search engines.

    1. Title Tag - Is the title of each page unique? The keyword that page is optimized for should be at or near the beginning of the title. Make the title short and to the point. "Leather Dog Collars" is much better than "Our Leather Dog Collars are High Quality".

    2. Meta Tags - If you use Meta keywords, make sure you ONLY have keywords listed which are relevant to THAT page. Do not use Meta keywords which are not found on the page. Usually the meta keywords should only be the keyword, and the forms of the keyword which the page is optimized for. Example: leather dog collars, dog collars, collars, leather collars. Google gives meta keywords no relevancy now days; but if you insert non-relevant keywords to that page, they may consider it spamming!

    3. Affiliate Links - DO NOT put affiliate links on a brand new page which has not been indexed yet by the search engines. When you do put affiliate links on, only put one or two per page...at most! The last thing in the world you want to do is give Google any thoughts that your page might be a part of an "affiliate site".

    4. AdSense - I do not even put AdSense on a new page until it is indexed by the search engines. Google would not care of course, but it is thought other search engines may. You DO NOT want to look like a "made for AdSense site" (MFA).

    5. AdSense - When you do have AdSense on a page, is there a LOT more content than ads? Remember, less is more when it comes to how many AdSense ads to put on a page. In almost all cases, lower numbers of ads mean a higher CPM.

    6. Linking - You linking structure needs to be sound. Text links are MUCH better than image links for your navigation and other internal links. The anchor text of each link should be very descriptive (with the keyword of the linked page if possible) as to what the linked page's topic is.

    7. Simple Design - Keep your page simple and clean! DO NOT try to impress people with your web design skills! Easy to read information is what people want - not sound or flashing graphics.

    8. Trust Factor - If you are selling ANYTHING, even affiliate products, the trust factor will make or break you. If your site does not look trustworthy, people will not stay long enough to click anything...much less buy anything. Make your site as personal feeling as you can; put as much of "you" into it as possible if you are asking people to buy anything.

    9. Home Page Links - For indexing reasons, make sure all links back to your home page are the full URL. Instead of just using "index.htm", the link should go to http://www.YourDomain.com.

    10. Google Webmaster Tools - Be sure to register there and specify that you want all references to your domain to resolve to the www version. In other words, if Google sees a page out there with a link to your site, but the page used yoursite.com instead of www.yoursite.com, Google will know that you want them to only consider the www.yoursite.com version of your address. Otherwise duplicate content issues can arise.

    11. Site Map - Go to my member's page and input your domain's address into the site map creation tool I have linked to there. Generate a text file site map. Follow the instructions at Google Webmaster Tools for letting Google know about your site map.

    12. Duplicate Content - Is there ANY chance that ANY of your content could be considered duplicate? Run any questionable pages through www.copyscape.com. If CopyScape finds duplicate content, so will Google.

    13. Internal Linking - Internal linking is also important to Page Rank. Be sure that all your pages link to each other from within the content of your various pages. Having the same navigation bar on each page linking to all the same links does not count. Google discounts the links found in a common navigation bar. However, if you have links to your other pages here and there from within the content of pages, that will help your page rank status.

    14. Submit Your Links - There is no need to submit your link directly to the search engines. It means far more if the engines find your link out there on a page they already have indexed. Therefore, use my list of directories on the members' page as a starting point for submitting your site to relevant categories of as many high quality directories as you have time for. Also, start writing articles for such places as ezinearticles.com, etc. Include your sites link in the article's bio section.

    15. Keep adding pages of content to your site on a regular basis!
  • How To FTP Your Website To Your Host
One needs to be relatively proficient in basic computer skills in order to create and manage a website. Finding, creating, renaming, and otherwise working with files and folders on your computer should be second nature for you. These skills will be required to easily manage your site's files and folders.

Begin by creating a folder on your computer's drive. You may name it your domain name. This folder will contain all your site's files. The root of this directory will contain all the files which will be uploaded to the root of your hosting directory. You may choose to put all your files on the root and not have any subdirectories.

There is nothing wrong with this unless you believe your site may grow to a hundred pages or more. For larger sites you may find it more logical and organized to create subdirectories for major topics or different products.

But in almost no circumstance will you require, nor should you use, subdirectories within those subdirectories. Google may not index files in second level subdirectories and lower until the site gains higher page rank.

You may begin uploading your files at any time. There is no need to completely finish the site before uploading it. In fact, I upload pages as I create them and then check them on the web as I go. As long as your site is not linked to from anywhere, and you don't submit your site to search engines, most likely no one will see your site.

Be sure to look at your new site on other computers. You may be surprised at how other computers will display your site.

Your file structure on your web server will be an identical copy of your local file structure. As you create new files or make changes to current ones, you will upload those to your hosting server. As you make changes to files on your computer and upload them, they will over-write and replace the ones on the host.

    Simple File Management Tips:

o Use lower case in all your files names. Do not use these forms: pic.JPG, PIC.jpg or Pic.jpg. You should use pic.jpg. Some web servers are case sensitive. You will save yourself future grief if you get into the habit of using lower cases for naming your files.
o Never have spaces in your file names.
o Always keep your file names as short as possible.
o You may use one or two dashes in your file names: large-dog-collar.jpg Never use more than two dashes. Many spam sites use many dashes in their file names.
o You may keep all your files on the root of your host directory. You can have an image folder for your pictures. But I suggest keeping all your .htm files on the root. Some search engines will be slow to visit files located in subfolders.

Some uploading advice: As you make a change, upload the file and look at it in your browser. As you make new pages and link to them, upload them and test them. It is best to upload and test the files of your site as you create them. Sometimes problems do not crop up until they are actually published to the server.

It is possible to be very faked out by seeing how great the page looks when it is still local. Your pages could look fine on your local computer but won't look fine when actually on the Internet. You need to find these problems as you go and not let them pile up.

    The Actual FTP Process
(How to move your web page files from your computer to the Internet)
FTP is how you get your web page files from your computer to your host's server. In order to do this you will normally use a third party program installed on your computer.

Although it is possible to FTP with Internet Explorer and within some web editors like Dreamweaver, I highly suggest you use a separate program. There are many available; some are free and others cost in the $30 to $50 dollar range. For this tutorial I will use a free client called CoffeeCup FTP.

Download CoffeCup FTP HERE and install it on your computer. It will start up after the download and a box will pop up asking for your email address. You may put yours in or just click past it.

Now that you have CoffeCup FTP running, here are the setup steps:

    1. The "My Sites" window comes up and is empty. Click on the green Add Button.
    2. Put a name in for the profile. Any name is fine. Just name it something like your domain.
    3. Click next and put your user name and password in which your host sent to you in an email. You may click "save password". Do not click "anonymous".
    4. Click next and put in the FTP address. It is in the email the host sent you. Usually it is either in the form of ftp.yoursite.com or simply www.yoursite.com. You do not need to provide a "default folder" at this time.
    5. Click next. Normally you do not have a proxy. If you don't know if you do or not, just click next, finished, and connect.

If any an error message occurs when it tries to connect, go back and check all of your setup steps. In order to get back to the settings, click on the "Servers" button.

After a successful connection, the right-hand window, called "my site" will populate with the folders and files already put into your hosting folder by your host. Every host will have different files and folders.

For your files to be seen on the Internet they will have to be inside a specific folder. Read the email you received from your host. Most of the time the folder you need to put your files into is called www, public, or public_html. Once you determine which folder your files should go into, double click on it to open it. It probably already has some files and folders placed there by the host.

NOTE: Free FTP clients usually do not have a "stay connect" feature. Free clients will time out when not used for a minute or two and you will have to reconnect often.

Once you have the correct folder open on the host's server (the right window called "my site") move to the left window called "my computer". Browse your hard drive and open the folder (you are now in the left window) where your web site files are saved.

Highlight the files you wish to upload. If you want to upload only one file, just left mouse on top of, hold down the left mouse button and simply drag it across to the right window and drop it into your host server's directory. To upload more than one file, hold down the control key while clicking and highlighting multiple files and then drag and drop them over to the server.

Remember, your index file is always your home page. When someone browses to www.yoursite.com, your host server knows to give that person the index page located in your site's folder. The index file is your home page. The host may already have an index page in the folder.

It probably is used as a "parked" home page. It may be index.htm or index.html. If your home page is named index.htm, it will over-write the host's index.htm file when you upload your own. If your file is named index.htm and the host's is named index.html, your file will not over-write that one. You should delete the other index file. You just want ONE INDEX FILE in your host folder!

If you need to delete or rename files in your host folder, right mouse button on the file and click delete or rename.

  • Why Internet Marketing is Great for Creating a Home Business
It is quite possible you are right now in the same boat I was several years ago. I had a good job and was making pretty fair money. However, I could not see myself doing what I was for the rest of my life.

Too much stress...not enough time for important things...no real hope of anything changing unless I took action. I tried many ideas in the past while attempting independence. There was always something in me searching for a life better than a 40 hour per week job answering to a boss.

Luckily a while back I became interested in Internet marketing. It seemed to offer everything I was looking for:

    - I could stay home and work from there!

    - I alone would reap ALL the rewards of my work and creativity.

    - I would not be limited by salary schedules or the need for promotions to increase my standard of living.

    - Basically, I would have control over my life's direction.

Internet marketing looked like a perfect fit! When I set out on the online marketing path, I of course was a complete beginner. I did not have the first clue as to what I was doing.

I fell into the same traps and went down the same wrong roads which I now see so many beginners doing on a day to day basis. I have said it time and again and I know I will have to keep saying it, but if you want success in the Internet marketing business you simply have to have a firm foundation in the basics principle of Internet marketing.

You will not make a dime of profit (short of luck here and there) until you learn and are able and willing to apply the basic principles of online marketing. Forget for now about replacing your full time income!

Just making a few hundred dollars per month on a regular basis is a big enough goal for now. Even with that modest goal, all the basics have to be in place. There are no shortcuts. The basics are pretty simple really. Learn basic page design. Learn SEO techniques.

Learn how to choose the correct keywords to optimize your pages with. Sounds pretty simple I'd say! And it is! However, there is much study and practice involved in applying those skills effectively. Here is where most beginners get stuck:

They may read and study about the basic principles, but they don't follow through with action. MASSIVE action is required to really learn how all the pieces fit together. Trial and error is part of the process! If you don't learn the art of "failing fast" and working your tail off until one of your projects gets some traction, you'll forever be at the 9 to 5 job.

If your first idea doesn't work (I will bet you it doesn't), then you try again - learning from your past mistakes - and again. If you want it badly enough, you WILL keep working at it until you succeed!

Ok, finally for the really good news: Once you learn how to create a stream of income online, even just a few hundred dollars per month, you THEN know how to wash, rinse, and repeat your way to greater success!

Once you are at that minimum level, things get very exciting! You will then see a VERY bright light at the end of the tunnel! You'll have your dream shortly! Ok, now get to work on your dream!
  • Golf, Internet Marketing, and The Follow Through For Success
I have to admit I've never played a real round of golf. However I enjoy watching it on TV; I appreciate the great talent it requires. If you watch enough golf, you will hear the term "follow through" brought up again and again.

It's not that easy to understand why follow through is so vital for good results. After all, shouldn't the actions taken just before and upon actually hitting the ball be the most important? The ball has left the tee...who cares what happens afterwards?

As any golfer knows, the above question is ridiculous; the follow through is vital!

Take the concept of follow through and apply it to Internet marketing. Most of the beginning online marketers I work with initially believe that simply making a site is the key to success.

I wish online marketing was that easy.

Here is a real example of what I mean by "follow through" with respect to Internet marketing:

One of my coaching students created a new page on his site for a fairly high traffic keyword. He researched the keyword well, wrote and optimized the content well, intra-linked the page with the existing pages, etc.

The bad news is that Google placed his new page on their third page of search results for that keyword.

The GOOD news is that Google placed his new page on their third page of search results for that keyword.

Any day you go after a great keyword and can rank it on page three right off the bat, you did great! Now for the follow through!

Placing your content on page 3 for a competitive keyword is Google's way of saying, "You did pretty well! Now give us a reason to move it to page one!"

I told my student that he could probably get that page moved to page one in a month or two if he followed through with 3 or 4 article submissions linking to the new page, submitted the page to the top social bookmarking sites, create and submit videos to YouTube and other video directories with a well optimized description with the page's URL, and trying like heck to get a good back link or two from a related site (one-way links of course.)

I told him if he followed through with those steps, it was all but guaranteed the new page would enjoy first page rankings within a few months. If he only made it to page 2, then repeat the entire process using more original content.

There you have it! The next time you see Tiger Wood's beautiful follow through, let it be your reminder for doing the same with your online business.
  • Creating Your Online Home Business Success in Six Simple Steps
Your success on the Internet, or with any other goal, is determined by a series of steps. There is a great book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill that is perfect for developing an action plan for any goal. I highly recommend it... you won't be disappointed!

I am asking a few questions here to help you drill down to your specific plan. Please put thoughtful consideration into each answer.

    OBJECTIVES/CHALLENGES

    1. If I had more free time, I would...
    2. What is my burning desire? What are my goals? What do I want in life and why am I doing this?
    3. What are the greatest obstacles to attaining my goals?
    4. How much time am I willing to dedicate each week to accomplish these goals?
    5. Will I continue with my occupation after this is completed?
    6. Name two things that I am willing to give up or sacrifice on your way:

Those questions are designed to see how serious you are about achieving success. Now for the steps:

    The 6 Steps
1: Fix your mind on the exact goal you desire. Be definite ... Be specific!
2: Determine what value you intend to give in return.
3: Establish a definite date when you intend to complete the goal.
4: Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin immediately! Whether you are ready or not... start today. Put that plan into ACTION! The specific details will work out later. Just get started!
5: Now write a clear, concise statement of your goal, the timeframe, what value you plan to give, and then describe how you intend to accomplish it.
6: Twice daily read your statement aloud - morning and night! Read with conviction - see it and believe you've already accomplished your goal.

Your ability to define specifically what you want to accomplish, putting an action plan in place, and then acting is of vital importance. But the key is to convince yourself - with feeling, emotion, and "a burning desire" that you will be successful. That desire, kept strong in your mind, will help ensure that you are acting to accomplish your goals and therefore will lead to your success.

When you follow these steps, I KNOW you will have success!
  • Liquid Glucosamine is Very Effective For Dogs With Arthritis
My wife and I discovered liquid glucosamine about 7 years ago when our old dog, Storm, was getting older and suffering from arthritis. We tried several things from the vet, but he had bad reactions those medicines. We knew we had to find something natural and safe.

Liquid glucosamine is completely safe and natural. It is not a quick fix and takes about a month of daily doses for it to begin working. It works by supplying the joints with glucosamine which the body uses to build health connective tissue. Arthritis is the degeneration of those tissues in the joints.

Besides the fact that it is all natural, glucosamine in the liquid form is much easier to give your dog. Most brands come in easy measure containers. Simply remove the lid, squeeze the bottle, and the reservoir fills with a daily dose. Dogs under 100 pounds or so can get by with about one-quarter of an ounce.

When the does is squeezed into the top, simply pour the liquid over the dogs food at feeding time. None of our dogs have ever cared or even seem to notice that there is something on their food. We have heard that some cats can be finicky however. In those cases it may be necessary to add some tuna juice or other treat over and on top of the dose of glucosamine.

Some of the joint care supplements require refrigeration; others do not. Check the label to find out if it can be stored out of the fridge or not. Also, all products have an expiration date on the bottom of the bottles which should be checked.

Another great benefit is that most brands contain a full 1500 milligrams per single dose. It usually requires 3 or 4 pills to reach the same dosage. Plus, giving the supplement in liquid form by simply pouring it over a dog's food is so much easier than trying to give them multiple pills each day. A few of our dogs have figured out how to spit the pills out even if we wrap them in some "goodie" like lunch meat.

Lastly, the cost of glucosamine in the liquid form is far less than many of the prescription drugs which are prescribed for dogs with arthritis. The daily dose is well under one dollar a day even for medium and larger sized dogs. This is very inexpensive compared to many of the well known arthritis drugs.

After many years of using the liquid form, we can't say enough about the positive results we've seen in our older dogs. It really does make their later years far more comfortable. I'd also like to add here that, besides giving the glucosamine, be sure and always keep your older dogs on the leaner side.

This is especially so in the larger breeds. The more weight the dog's joints must carry, the more problems with arthritis they will have later in life. It's far better for them to be a bit "skinny" than to have them carry any extra pounds at all.
  • Discover Your Internet Niche

  • Internet Home Business Tips
Internet marketers are confronted with the different faces of this business. An utmost advantage in investing in an online business, compared to the traditional business, is the simplicity of trial and error of ideas. Without committing too much time and money, the Internet marketer can choose whether to pursue an idea or not.

A failure in an investment can be so heartbreaking, and although Internet marketers are not fully protected from that, we have the advantage of benefiting from small capitals and failures. The strength of Internet marketing comes from a failure, truly that is ironic, however we must make sense of this process to enjoy the beauty of online business.

Once someone has experienced "failure" in the brick and mortar world, they really come to appreciate the risk vs. reward aspect of online marketing. A failure in the brick and mortar world can be a devastating experience. However, a failure in the online world usually only means a small bump in the road for most marketers.

Every advantage has a disadvantage. Internet marketing may come casual and easy from the investment's point of view, but success is still not THAT simple. The process in earning money demands testing ideas numerous times that it entails huge loses and multiple failures as well. This is why not all can survive. The downside in Internet marketing is not the failures, but the determination to move forward.

If you had your fair share of failures, don't fret because all of us do. All successful people go through the same experience and feel exactly as you do. If you have not failed, then you have not succeeded.

    Best Internet Marketing Strategies

I recently gave advice to a friend who was developing an online business. In the course of one of our conversations I reminded him that it probably would be several months before he saw even one sale. This was after he had already spent countless hours building the site and preparing his business for orders. He seemed shocked I would say he may have to wait that long. But after further conversation, I helped him realize how important it was that patience was in his tool kit of the best Internet marketing strategies.

Although there are many ways of making money on the web, I will focus this discussion on the most common way which is selling goods or services. I will also assume you already have a sellable and potentially profitable product or service in mind and you have at least a basic knowledge of web design. This last assumption is the main stumbling block people have when wanting to start a web business. Simply put, it is a necessity to learn web design. Get a book, take a class, or get a friend's help in order to learn the necessary skills of web design.

Now we'll discuss the nuts of bolts of defining the best Internet marketing strategies. Assuming you are starting from scratch with a new product or service with a new web site, I'll first discuss the basic criteria which must be met. One of the best Internet marketing strategies is to have a product with a unique name. For example, you would prefer to sell a product named "SupremeBar" instead of "PowerBar". SupremeBar has only a handful of results in Google. PowerBar has 2.5 million. The trick is to find a niche product area which there is already a market for but has little competition yet in the search engines. It would be very difficult to start selling PowerBars on the Internet. There is way too much competition for that keyword, and would not be one of your best Internet marketing strategies.

Ok, so you have the perfect product with a relatively unique name. Now you must start creating the site. Google is the search engine of choice to be in. Over 65% of all searches on the Internet are through Google. Yahoo is number two and MSN is a distant third. I've found it is quite easy to get my brand new sites to be listed well in Yahoo and MSN, and those will send you some traffic. But one of the best Internet marketing strategies is to put all of one's efforts into getting listed high in Google. Just focus on that. If you do that, you will also show up well in MSN and Yahoo usually. And most of the time MSN and Yahoo will index your pages long before Google will.

Remember, content is king on the Internet. Providing great content is one of the best Internet marketing strategies one can have. Google gives relevance to many things when deciding how high to rank your page. Relevant content, how many other sites link to you, how long the page has been indexed, etc. Since your site is brand new, the only thing you can offer the Google spider analyzing your site is content. You simply must create as much original content about your product as you can. Write pages about SupremeBar's nutritional content, its history, and its many uses as an energy bar, etc. Your first and core pages should be optimized on the keyword SupremeBar. The best Internet marketing strategies should be all about driving relevant traffic to you site. Searchers who find your site with a search of SupremeBar make up the absolute most relevant traffic. They are searching for what you sell!

Remember, the content in your site MUST be original. Even though some sites may rank high with duplicated content, Google will tell you this is not a good thing and those sites risk being penalyzed. All the search engines consider this to be Spam. You should be able to copy and paste any paragraph on your site into an exact phrase match (using quotations) in a Google search and not find any other results but yours. Never ever copy someone else's content for your own. If you do, it will at some point come back to haunt you. Copied content is definitely not one of the best Internet Marketing strategies.

So now you have a great content and you need to create the page. My advice to you is to make the page as personal as possible. Your potential customers viewing the site must trust you. Without trust, you will not make any sales. The best Internet marketing strategies for the beginning web entrepreneur are to keep everything simple. You are probably not a pro at web design, but that is OK. Do not make the mistake of trying to make your site look fancy and super professional if you aren't an expert. It you try that, it will be obvious you are not and the site will look "cheesy". Just keep it simple and personal. People will trust either a simple, personal site or an expensive, high-tech looking site. They won't trust anything in between. Remember that point. It will be one of your best Internet marketing strategies!

Use only basic HTML to build your site. Don't use Flash, layers, or fancy scripts. Not only does your code need to be clean for the spiders to read fast and easily, trying to be fancy will deter from the site. It's best to have a picture of yourself and talk about yourself, your family, your pets, etc. The best Internet marketing strategies should always include giving the viewers of your site confidence in you. People HAVE to feel comfortable with you before they will send you money!

Finally, the list of the best Internet marketing strategies has to include a discussion on the host and shopping cart used. You must have a reliable host. You must also have a payment method for your product. One can use PayPal and get a free shopping cart. It is fine at first and I suggest starting a new site with it.

But after the sales start coming in, you will want a more robust shopping cart. Our most successful site was started with a Godaddy $3.95 per month hosting accounts using the Free PayPal shopping cart. Although the PayPal cart has limitations, it was an easy way to test our idea with little risk. Once the sales started coming in, we switched to a more advanced host and shopping cart with Yahoo.

Although I have only scratched the surface of describing for you the best Internet marketing strategies, you should have enough information here to be well on the road to success! Good Luck!

We can all find success in this business. The only thing that differs one from the other is the ability to stay and proceed even through it all.
  • Ten Roadblocks to Online Marketing Success
I have a lot of experience working with beginners in Internet marketing and I notice that most of them are committing the same mistakes. I, too, learned the hard way since I made the same errors when I started in this business. Although experience is the best teacher, it is also good if you learn from other people's mistakes. You will most likely achieve your goals faster if you are aware of these mistakes and be able to identify the hindrances in your path.

    1. Never spend too much on your domain hosting. You have to be practical and careful on the money you take out of your pocket. Do your research. You can most definitely find something less than 10 dollars for an unlimited domain hosting.

    2. You probably heard about the saying, "Less is More." You should apply this concept in terms of placing ads in your website. If you have too much ads or links in your website, your visitors will make an impression that you just want to profit from them. The best way to do it is put more good content and less ads in your website.

    3. Many Internet marketers make a lot of money using Google AdWords. Google AdWords allows you to earn by advertising products even if you do not have a website, and setting up your own ad campaigns is easy. This can be very profitable, however, if you are not familiar on the ins and outs of AdWords, then be prepared to lose some money. I am not talking about fifty-dollar loss; I'm talking about thousand dollars worth of money. Only when you are confident about what you're getting into, should you use AdWords. It takes a lot of skill, practice and uh, money.

    4. Good content is your way to success. But take note, it should be original, unique content. Many beginners assume that they can get away with copyrighted content, but they are very mistaken. Be careful in what you post in your websites because you'll never know how much it can destroy you and your reputation. A great Internet marketer doesn't need to be a great writer. You can write your ideas and have a writer rewrite it, or you can pay someone to write for you. That's if you are not good in writing, but let me tell you it doesn't hurt to try. You can use Copyscape to verify your content or your writer's content as well.

    5. The same goes for the images you post in your website. Be careful with that as well because you can also get in trouble copy pasting images from other websites. That might be permitted if you are posting images from affiliate websites, but check to make sure. If you do not have photography skills, then you can pay a small amount and get a decent image in istockphoto.com so you can have original pictures in your website.

    6. There is a lot of information about Internet marketing online and reading about all of these techniques and data can be overwhelming. Beginners tend to begin with multiple projects in numerous areas. If you have a team to do this, then maybe that's fine but if it's just you then it might not be such a good idea. In the long run, you'll have many projects but none of them is making money. You need to concentrate on few projects, exerting efforts in developing them rather than trying to be Superman.

    7. If you decide to sell products in your website, initially use free shopping cart systems like the one PayPal is offering. You do not need to set-up a merchant account and it's effortless to create. Do not invest in expensive shopping cart systems until you have enough money to do so. You might as well exhaust your time marketing for your products and your website as opposed to worrying about how your shopping cart looks like.

    8. There are many products online that offer get-rich-quick methods. They look and sound very effective too. Do not be fooled by scammers. Get free information, talk to fellow Internet marketers, read their websites and follow their guidelines. There are no "secrets" on how to get rich and more so, there is no easy way to get there.

    9. Do not pay to get listed. Beginners are easily deceived by these strategies. You do not need to be listed to hundreds of search engines; you just need to make it to the top 5. In conclusion, don't pay for anything to escape from the hard work required from you. There are many ways to get your site listed such as optimizing your keywords, submitting articles to different websites or if allowed, participating in link directories. These techniques demand a lot of time and work but it has definite and better outcomes.

    10. Last but definitely not the least, the number one mistake that most beginners make is to assume that income is easy and instant. If you expect that you are going to earn right away, I'm sorry but you're not. Each Internet marketer's story of success is unique. Depending on how much work you put into, it can take up to several months or longer. If you become successful, however, you will most definitely enjoy your substantial income.

    Good Luck!
  • Dreamweaver: The Choice of Many
The most favored and sought-after web editor is Dreamweaver. I build my websites using this tool. Although a lot of beginners use a free tool such as those in free hosting websites, which is basically all right, almost all serious Internet marketers use fine web editor tools such as Dreamweaver.

Purchasing the most in-demand web tool is not inexpensive. It will cost you a lot of money, but be informed that you can acquire them at campustech.com for a discount; just ask someone you know who is still in school or a school employee to do it for you. The retail version of Dreamweaver is the same with the educational version.

Dreamweaver is the best web editor tool, and here are some of the reasons why I prefer using it:

    1. It is very easy to use. You can create simple pages with text, tables and images with no hassle. To tell you the truth, simple pages are all you need to begin with your online business.

    2. It has a useful FTP upload feature. Well, I still make use of my handy FTP software, but I choose to use Dreamweaver to transfer those pages, which is very convenient for me.

    3. Dreamweaver can easily change and apply template contents. If you are thinking about pre-made templates, that's not what I'm talking about. It is my favorite feature because it saves a lot of my time, and so I will explain to you how it works. Imagine you have twenty pages in your website, and you need to change your copyright date or add another page. The copyright date is seen an all the pages of the website, so if you are going to change it, you would need to edit each and every page of the website. If you create a page layout as a template, you do not need to do that. All you have to do is open your template file, adjust necessary information you need to change and save the file, then all your twenty pages are edited! It's very easy to use and it's an ultimate time-saver!

    4. It can be used even if you decide to move on with using CSS.

    5. It has a lot of styling options that you can effortlessly add to your pages, such as highlighting certain texts to make it stand out.

    6. Due to the fact that a lot of people use this web editor tool, innumerable tutorials and help files are available and accessible for you. With that, you can save a lot of time and money instead of attending classes or paying for a professional to help you.

I know Adobe provides a trial version of Dreamweaver. Try it and before long, you'll be promoting it yourself!

I have a lot of experience working with beginners in Internet marketing and I notice that most of them are committing the same mistakes.

    Good Luck!

  • Building a Free Website
There are a lot of websites offering free sub domain, and you can use those to create your own website. Making a free website is very easy to do and it is ideal if you are just making a site about yourself, love ones, interests and hobbies.

On the other hand, if you are planning to use your website to earn money online, such as in internet marketing, then you are reading an article that will help you with your internet business before it even falls through. Beginners in Internet Marketing either surrender or realizes that making a free website does not bring success to the business. Below are few of many reasons why you don't want a free website:

    1. Free Is Not Impressive

If you are trying to persuade someone to buy through your website, you would definitely need to look credible enough, and there is no better way to start convincing your customers by making them feel safe buying though you. And how do you achieve that? Have an actual, genuine and decent website. When a customer drop by your website, and even type in your URL (www.freewebsite.com/yourbusiness or www.yourbusiness.freewebsite.com), imagine their dismay when they find out you have a free website. Your website will not look professional at all, and by the way, you just lost a customer!

    2. Limited Features

When you use free websites, your creativity is restricted to the functions available in that site. Many free websites do not provide beneficial tools to embed valuable scripts necessary to transact business online. Your website design will also be just like anyone else who uses the free website. That is horrifying! You should establish yourself well with your customers and be able to create a website which freely and completely describes your business with no limitations.

    3. Starting With The Wrong Attitude

If you are committed and determined to achieve the goals you have set in your Internet business, then show it. Start by investing for the right things, such as a website. For small monthly and yearly fees, you will be able to prove to your customers that you are not going anywhere with their money, and you will be able to stick long enough to succeed.

Now that you have decided to have your own website, try not to make another mistake by hiring a website designer to create it for you. Here are another three reasons why you shouldn't hire someone else to do the hard work for you:

    1. It's An Ongoing Process

A website undergo a continuous changing and altering process. If you pay a website programmer or designer to do this for you, unless money is not an issue, this will certainly bring problems for you. You will undoubtedly be updating your website most of the time, might as well learn the process and save some $$$ along the way!

    2. Not SEO-Foused

Web designers are good in style; design; effects and they can make very presentable websites. Be that as it may, most of them still are not familiar with one of the most important aspects of a website: Search Engine Optimization. Search engine ranking in necessary so that traffic is diverted to your site, and not others who are competing for the spot. Most Internet marketers use social networking websites such as Twitter and Facebook to advertise their websites. These are "FREE" pages, yes, however they are found to be effective. Also, marketers do not rely on these pages to get customers, but just use it to gain more traffic.

    3. Learning Experience

If you are not aware of the ins and outs of website building, then how can you explain your vision to your designer? Moreover, no matter how you explain it, you may not get your desired outcome for your website. Another thing is you will not be able to accurately evaluate the designer's performance. How can you? You have no knowledge of the subject.

Creating a website is not the easiest thing to do; but it can be learned and it can be done. If you are willing to put time and effort in it, you will be able to get a hold of it, slowly yet surely. Before going through your online business, understand how a website works and operates: study about it, search the web for related articles and videos or you can even ask your computer geek friends, family or neighbors.

A lot of people today are smart enough to decide that they need to learn more about websites (without spending a dime for it!) and social networking. Learning is a continuous process, and skill takes practice and time to be mastered. Be patient, and soon enough you will be reaping your rewards from your Internet business.
  • Build a Home Online Business
In the past several years my wife and I have created numerous and successful online businesses. I also have much experience helping beginners get off the ground with their own online businesses.

I first want to first discuss what beginners to an online home business should avoid. Basically, if an offer promises bank loads of money with only a few hours of work per week, it's a scam. If the offer shows you plenty of pictures of fancy cars, vacation places, and even pretty women, it's a scam. But most importantly, anything that sounds too good to be true usually means it is.

Also, if the offer says something about giving you your own affiliate website, that's another area to stay away from. If the offer tells you that you get your own online store, that process won't work either. There are no shortcuts to building a profitable online home business. Again, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

There are no "turnkey" systems you can buy for this process. There are no secrets you can "discover." There's nothing you can purchase that's going to give you a very quick and easy online income. An online home business IS a business and requires treating it like one.

The correct ways to build an online business are these:

    1. First, you must have an idea. You must have some original idea and/or product ...or some unique twist on an existing idea. But most importantly, before you even begin you must know how to do the proper research in order to determine if the idea has a chance of success.

Oftentimes, beginners start a project with an idea that has no possible chance of succeeding. Beginners must be able to determine if the idea is viable before they put any work or money into an attempt for building an online business at home. Doing otherwise is a lot like shooting arrows into the dark - maybe you'll hit something - probably you won't.

    2. You must have a website. Beginners, for some reason, believe they can get into Internet marketing without a website. That simply isn't true. 99%, or higher, of all people who are having success on the Internet now days have their own websites. I'm not talking about the free sites available. Purchasing your own domain and your own hosting account are basic requirements for online success.

    3. Before you even begin the project, you must have in mind how you will drive traffic to your site...and there are various ways to do that. You can use SEO, you can use tools like Twitter and Facebook or maybe you can use AdWords advertising. There are numerous ways to do drive traffic. Before you begin, you must have a traffic generation strategy in mind.

Far too many beginners drop the ball in this area. Internet marketing and an online business are not "build it and they will come." For success, it is important to understand these basic principles for building a home online business in the beginning.
  • Top Tips For Beginning Internet Marketers
I work with many beginners and I see them making the same mistakes over and over. In fact, I made many of these same mistakes myself when I began online marketing. I have here a list of the biggest ten mistakes that are very commonly made by newbie online marketers.

    1. I see too many newbies paying $20 per month or more for hosting their sites. There is absolutely no reason for this. An excellent hosting account can be bought for five or six dollars each month. This is more than enough for most beginning Online newbies needs.

    2. Many beginners begin their sites by sticking many affiliate links all over the pages. This is a huge mistake. When Google sees a page with many affiliate links all across it, they are liable to believe it is nothing but another affiliate site. They do not like sites made specifically for affiliate marketing products. Don't make yours look like another spam site made only for affiliate marketing.

    3. Also Google AdWords is a great way to promote products online, it is a very difficult marketing method to learn. It requires great practice, plenty of money to work with as the clicks cost money. Too many beginners assume Google AdWords is a very easy way to make money online. Nothing could be further from the truth.

    4. You may have heard content is key. However, many beginners fail to understand that content must be original. tI cannot be copied content from anyplace found on the web. It must all be written in original content. You may rewrite something, but it must be seen by Google as completely original.

    5. Many beginners find it difficult to find images to use on their website. They often end up stealing those images from other sites. That is a very bad mistake to make. There are photo services and image services online where you can obtain images quite cheaply. Never take and use an image form another site without that site's permission.

    6. Beginners often learn so much about internet marketing in the beginning they become overloaded. They find themselves scattered here and there and lose focus. This is a big reason many internet marketers simply quit before they see any success. Beginners need to insure they stay focused. This is where having a mentor becomes very important.

    7. Many beginners want to sell physical products online. Before they even test the idea, they install a shopping cart, or pay for a shopping cart system for their website. They should not do this without first testing the product in order to make sure the idea will work. It is best to use a simple PayPal shopping cart in the beginning.

    8. Be very careful of the information products you purchase. Many of them are spam products or scam products. They should not be trusted just by their sales pages. Do research on the seller before you purchase!
