Bootcamps vs Home Gyms

Let's face it. If you're new to exercise, it can all be a bit intimidating to learn how to work out in the best way. In a gym, you face the scrutiny of beautiful people with perfect bodies who "glisten" rather than sweat and maintain steady breathing always during their bootcamp Miami class. There you are, huffing and puffing away on your treadmill in your t-shirt and shorts with sweat dripping down your face and thinking you're being judged by the pretty people. It's human nature but remember this....everyone started somewhere, including those pretty people.

The benefits of having a membership to a gym are plenty. You have the option of hiring a personal trainer. This does come with a cost on top of your gym membership cost, but you will be working with someone that is trained in the art of physical fitness and nutrition. In other words...they know what they are talking about. They will design a program specifically for you that will target your problem areas in ways that will encourage fat burning and muscle toning in the healthiest (and least painful) way possible. You also have the option of attending exercise classes. In these classes, you have a certified instructor leading the class and a whole bunch of other people doing the same thing you are. IF it's your first time, don't worry. It's probably someone else's first time too. The vets and the instructor will encourage you to keep going and if you must take a break at first, there is no shame in that. Get yourself moving as fast as you can and before you know it, those classes will be a breeze. The latest craze are bootcamp classes. Miami facilities have classes designed to give you a full workout of your entire body, and that means every muscle group. You'll definitely be sweating when you are done but overall physical fitness will whip your body into shape faster than anything.

A home gym comes with its own pros and cons. First of all, the expense to outfit your home with a full gym could cost you a fair amount of money. That being said, once you have it, there are no monthly membership fees to pay to work out. They're yours. For many, being able to come home and work out in the comfort of their own home is the key to success. They don't feel judged or intimidated, they can put on their favorite workout music or TV show and workout attire might consist of a baggy t-shirt and shorts rather than the latest and greatest spandex. The important thing to remember if you'd prefer a home gym is to do your research. Talk to a personal trainer that can help you create the best workout plan for your body type and overall physical health for complete healthy living. If you go in blind and just start working out without a plan and not knowing what you're doing, you run the risk of not only developing very sore muscles, you also could injure yourself.

As with any workout plan, healthy living is key to overall physical health. Drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep and maintain a healthy eating program. If you can combine all of these things, it won't matter whether you're in a gym or working out at'll start to see your body (and mind) transform for the positive.
